Birds chirping. A gentle gust filling the scene. A sunrise visible at the horizon. Absolute bliss. That is until the natural beauty is interrupted by the sound of a car engine whirring up.
"God, Jason, it's 6 in the morning," Alice complained "why do we have to leave so early?" "Because I wanna get front row seats? Duh" Jason retorted. "You can be a real ass, you know that?" Alice said with a slight smile "but sadly I love ya" "I know you do" Jason said as he kissed her forehead. "That's why we're going as a couple" he stated with a sly smirk. That smirk. Every time Alice saw it, she swore she melted inside. Perhaps it was his way of keeping her infatuated with him. Either way, he knew it was her weakness and he loved the look in her eyes when he did it and the way her face would light up red. "This is gonna be great!" Jason thought to himself.
Many people often look at the future and hope for a happy and fruitful sight, but Jason hoped to see some sights of terror and despair. Alice saw it too, though she did not hope for it like Jason did. Humanity's greatest weakness is most often its curiosity. For example, ever been in class and someone walks through the door only to have the whole class turn to look at the guest? Or when someone drops something and everyone looks over? Also, when you hear something ominous and you feel compelled to explore the case.
"Say, what's the deal with this Dante guy anyway?" Alice asked. "Well, he's a mastermind. He studied tons of psychology so he knows all about the human mind and how it works; he's developed a bunch of neat tricks to get into people's heads and stuff, it's rad." Jason replied. "Wow, that's really... Geeky. Here I was thinking my boyfriend wasn't such a complete nerd, but I guess I got the wrong impression," Alice sarcastically states. "Oh shut it," Jason laughs as he gives Alice a peck. They both smiled as they got into the car for the trip of their life.
