21 BBY, Space

It had been a month since Admiral Ivel had taken a maternity leave and temporarily retired to Coruscant. Of course, the 125th Fleet needed a stand in admiral in the meantime. So who would step in to do the task? Well, Ivel had one suggestion- her husband.

She did warn them. He was going to be an idiot at times. He didn't support the Kaminoan cloning program. However, he would make a decent substitute with his strategic mind. The pros outweighed the cons. Admiral Ivel left, and Vice Admiral Rampart took her place... for now. Not that the time got any shorter with him around.

And no one hated the new Admiral more than Leda Delvin.

Leda had tried to put up with Rampart at first. After all, they would be stuck with him for about a year, and she might as well get to know him better. That was a mistake. A terrible mistake.

He had zero sympathy for the soldiers, dismissing the casualties as the cost of war. Of course he was... decent in warfare. But his personality grated on Leda like a knife on a silver platter.

Speaking of knives and silver platters, it was lunchtime, currently. Biting into a piece of meilorrun, Leda glanced at Flash, an ARC trooper in the 125th. "Hey, how much do you bet I can hit Admiral Moron with this sandwich?"

Flash shrugged. "I don't know, 10 credits? He won't like it."

"Oh, come on!" Leda whispered. "I never get to do this with Ivel because she's so damn nice. She ain't a prick like that man over there."

Flash sighed, and Leda could swear she saw his eyes light up. "Go for it, kid."

Drawing her arm back, Leda aimed the sandwich straight at the back of Rampart's perfect sandy brown head before releasing it at full speed. As she ducked out of view, she heard the satisfying SPLAT as the sandwich hit its mark.

She reemerged, casually taking another bite out of her meilorrun as Rampart turned to look at her. "What're you staring at me for?"

The Vice Admiral simply glared daggers at her before exiting the mess hall.

Leda could barely contain her giggles. "Flash- y-you owe me t-ten credits."
