CHAPTER 5: THE HEIR

JENNIE POV

"I hope there are no problems" I bite my lips in nervousness while the doctor is checking on Lisa after calling him up immediately. I was walking in the room in circles.

"There will be none Jennie" Jisoo holds my arms to stop and gives me an assuring smile while patting my shoulder "Try to relax ok?"

"N-ne"  I take a deep breath to calm down while waiting for the doctor when he opens up the transparent curtains "H-how is she?!" I quickly ask when the doctor walked toward us. He looks down and sighs, standing in front of me while fidgeting his fingers "Yah idiot! Can you speak up?! What happened?!"

"She's not awake but it's a sign that she's improving and safe, Ms. Kim"

"But tears fell out of her eyes! Her finger moved! I saw it with my own eyes! Roseanne saw it too" I argued and look at Roseanne, asking for her to speak but she just sigh and look down

"Yes and that's a good sign Ms. Kim, her body is working back up. Let's not rush her up ok? It depends on when she likes to wake up" He explains which made me nod and sit back on the couch

"Kamsahamnida" I heard Roseanne and Jisoo before taking a seat beside me and the doctor continues to check on Lisa for hourly updates~

"Lisa gave us a sign and that's good Jen. Don't worry ok? Focus on your baby first" Jisoo pats my shoulder, giving me a warm smile and that lighten up my mood "She's coming back soon!" 

"She is~" I smile and look at Lisa then mumble "Thank you honey~"

"You better say it louder for her to hear you Jen~" Roseanne giggles

"Yeah just like how you moan her name" Jisoo chuckles making me roll my eyes and leave the two alone when I decided to check on Lisa again

"Any updates, aside from that she's doing fine?" I coldly ask the doctor who was busy checking on the monitors. He flinch but gives me a quick glance before going back to work "Let's just hope that nothing will go wrong Ms. Kim"

"Is this how you brought back my asshole mother?" I scoff and hold Lisa's hand. There he stopped with what he was doing and faced me "Y-yes~" He answers in a low tone. I could see the guilt in his face. He must be doing it for the sake of his family

"Who is ordering you if the bitch can't even call you when she's dead?" I ask in my deepest voice to scare him, there's a huge possibility that he knows the person I'm looking for as he was the one who told us why he poisoned my Lisa.

Wait... Why haven't I thought of it in the first place?

"Well~ All I know Ms. Kim...." He sighs and puts his notebook down then clears his throat "They are really close~ I haven't seen him but he sends gifts for your mother"

"Him? And he sends her gifts?" I frown and think deeper. No gifts were sent at home as what I remember "Could it possibly be her new husband? boyfriend? cousin?"

"More like a son Ms. Kim" The doctor answers which made me look at him in confusion "He calls himself "The Heir" whenever he sends me a message and brings gifts for your mother"

"Just call her bitch, she's not my real mother" I roll my eyes after cutting him off and sit on the chair beside Lisa

"A-ah y-yes~ The b-b-bitch and The Heir are pretty close tha-"

"Do you have his number? You said he sends you messages?" I ask, desperate on looking for this asshole

"I don't have his number since he sends me messages through a letter or through someone"  The doctor continues to check on Lisa then clears his throat "But for sure, he's looking for you"

"What do you mean?" I frown more. Why is that asshole looking for me now huh?!

"Everyone's target at WMO is the successor of Chairman A which is Ms. Manoban. Now that Chairman A is dead and you faked Ms. Manoban's death, they're coming for you because you are the only you who can lead WMO after Ms. Manoban" The doctor removes his glasses and coat before sitting infront of me. He was looking at Lisa, more like staring through her soul while apologizing secretly

"What about Roseanne? I mean she and Lisa are cousins? Shouldn't she be their target? Or even her mother? I am not blood related with the Manobans" I frown more 

"All they have in mind is that Ms. Park is a weakling" The doctor sighs and continues "You have a reputation in WMO Ms. Kim so you're after Ms. Manoban. Besides you're her partner too. I suggest that you should stay here for you and your baby to be safe" He gives me a smile

"Just make sure that you're not a traitor or I'll kill your family before I'll chop your head off" I give him a deathly glare "I won't let you down Ms. Kim" He answers which convince me that I look at the couple who was sleeping soundly on the couch. They were the only ones who stayed with me and Lisa. We're a team or more like a family. I won't let anything happen to them.

"They need to be safe with me too~"

??? POV

"What's hard?! Even just one update about that Kim?!" I remove my white bloody coat  before throwing another glass of my favorite whiskey on Lisa's picture pasted on the wall. I am desperate on getting my hands on you Jennie Kim!

"Youngmaster~ I-I swear we c-an't track her"

"Then look for her idiot! Don't you ever come back here until you find her!" 

"She's nowhere to be found YM, she disappeared after Lalisa's burial" My slave explained

You're scared huh?

Why are you hiding Jennie Kim?

Are you keeping something from the public?

"Sh-she m-must've l-left the c-country?" He asks, sensing he nervousness in his voice which gave me an idea

"Your brain finally worked!" I coldly look at him who was looking like an idiot "Send someone to find her in Japan, Hawaii, Paris, New Zealand and Los Angeles. As I remember, she has a bought a place in Hawaii and Paris. Lalisa Manoban has a place in L.A."

"W-will d-do youngmaster" He bows and was about to leave when I fake a cough which was a signal for him to stop. I continue to stare at Lisa's marked picture then her Grandpa, Father and Mother's marked pictures as well which lead me to Jennie Kim, Song Jisoo and Roseanne Park

"What about Song Jisoo and Roseanne Park?"

"Haven't seen them too Youngmaster"

"Alright track their every movement before the death of Lalisa Manoban. They might lead to where Jennie Kim is right now" I command and he finally left me alone in the office

Just keep on hiding Jennie~
