Falling Stars

*The last spaceship will leave tomorrow morning. Everybody, please be there on time, except for the patients and the doctors who voluntarily wants to stay.*

"Hyung, we will leave tomorrow. Everything will be okay." Jungkook and Seokjin were sitting in their living room, watching news. Everybody was in hurry to leave earth. Pandemic damaged the whole planet. The flora and fauna were in deteriorating condition. Human living became hard. People were dying due to this pandemic. And there was no cure to that. The scientists realised that leaving earth is the only option left. 499 spacecrafts already left for Mars. Now it was the last spacecraft. All the patients were left behind. If they got cured, another spacecraft will be sent to earth. But chances of that is next to zero. Families of the patients denied at first, but later got convinced. It was a chaos. The last spacecraft was going to leave the earth's orbit tomorrow morning. Jungkook and Seokjin will be leaving earth by tomorrow. They packed all their belongings.

"I don't want to leave this place though." Jungkook sounded sad.

"Ofcourse, Jungkook. Nobody wants to go. Leaving the place where you've been living since beginning, where the human existence took place, is actually hard. But baby, we have to leave, right? We can't live here anymore." Seokjin cupped his face in his hands and caressed him.

"Hmm." Jungkook rested his head on Seokjin's shoulder.

Leaving earth is obviously hard for everyone. This is the place they've known since their birth. But finally it's the time to let go. Sometimes, keeping something is more toxic than letting it go. And the citizens realised that.

Next Morning

"Hyung, we are getting late. We have to check in by 11. Hurry up, please."

"Jungkook, I'm not feeling well. Can I rest for some minutes?" Seokjin was stumbled on his feet. He took the support of side drawer. Jungkook rushed towards him.

"Hyung, are you okay? Sit, sit here." Jungkook grabbed Seokjin by shoulder and made him sit on the sofa.

"I'm fine. I'm fine, koo." Seokjin assured him. "Baby, why can't you leave and check both of us in. And I'll join in few minutes." Seokjin suggested. He was continuously coughing.

"No, hyung. I can't leave you here like this." Jungkook eyed him from head to toe. "Hyung-"

"Hmm."

"Why are you coughing this much, hyung?" Jungkook was tensed. Seokjin looked towards him.

"Ohh it's nothing, koo. We had ice cream last night. And you know I'm not good with cold things." Jungkook hummed. He was still tensed.

"Hyung, I think we should leave. And please try to control your coughing when we were going to check in."

"Baby, don't be scared." Seokjin stood up and took Jungkook's hand in his own. "I'll always be there with you. I will never going to leave you, baby and you know that." Seokjin smiled. Jungkook smiled back. Seokjin hugged his boyfriend tightly.

"I'll always do right by you, koo. I'll make you proud. We'll make everything right. I love you."

"I know, hyung. I know." Jungkook hugged him tighter and rested for a while in his embrace. Seokjin wanted to be in this moment for ever. He doesn't want to break that hug. He doesn't want to break the warmth. He doesn't want to get parted from Jungkook. He doesn't want to leave.

"Hyung, we need to go." Seokjin hummed. They picked all their belongings and looked at their home for the last time before leaving. They both had teary eyes, but both tried to control the tears. They had many memories with this house. Jungkook and Seokjin built this house together. When they moved in here, they both were just teenagers with young love. The teen agers Jungkook and Seokjin never expected to come this far. Both of their parents were opposed of this relationship. Jungkook's parents even disowned him. And Seokjin's parents were, just for name sake, were his parents. But Seokjin and Jungkook didn't gave up on their love and they started working since they both were teenagers. Jungkook streamed games which, in no time, make both of them comfortable. And Seokjin used to work in a cafe day and night, he continued his studies too. Jungkook took a distant course and just focused on his gaming to make their living better. They both got successful in the fields they chose.
