A nameless bird singing our dusk
The fear of silence before te dark

Oblivion
Astor Piazzola

In your eyes I used to see forever
I saw it with such certainty that hope
was but a needless word to me,
For as I thought, I needed not to hope
You were right here with me
Now I swing between hope and despair at your slightest gesture
For if I need to, I would erase myself completely to draw a version you would perhaps like more
A version you would perhaps stay with

But if by gaining you I lose myself
What is it that I'm left with
Who knew my heart could hold so much fear?

How do we know
If we're writing a new chapter
Or reading the same one over and over again
Blindly hoping for a different ending
Just because it's our favourite part of the book
