The Angel

Chapter 1

"Mary Di Angelo!" Mom called.

"Yes!" I yelled.

"Come here!" she yelled. I ran down the stairs and saw Nico, Ten, playing on the ground next to Bianca, 12. I saw someone standing in the doorway. I waved to him. He smiled and waved back. "Get Nico and Bianca," she told me. I nodded and went over to the kids.

"Bianca, Nico, come here," I said. They walked over and started to walk with me. Nico grabbed my hand when he saw the stranger in our home. "È tutto ok (It's all ok)," I told him. He nodded but still held my hand. I smiled at him and then stopped in front of Mom and the man. Everything was a blur. He introduced himself as Hades and started playing with Nico and Bianca. "È nostro padre, vero? (He's our father, isn't he?)" I asked.

"He's Nico and Bianca's father," she replied. Hades waved us over and we agreed. Nico was laughing and Bianca was staring amazed at Hades.

"Hello," I said. I curtsied to him, and he just waved me off.

"I'm not my brother, don't bow to me," he said. I nodded and sat next to Nico. He handed me an action figure while giggling. Hades and Mother walked into the kitchen. "She's from his Roman side, correct?" Mom nodded.

"He doesn't even know she exists," Mom said.

"They may be a good thing. Has she developed any powers yet?" Hades asked. She nodded. I just ignored them and focused on Nico and Bianca.

"What are they talking about?" Bianca asked.

"Nothing, ignore them," I said. Hades and Mother walked back over to us and I went and grabbed three glasses and filled them with juice. I then sat back down and handed one to Nico and one to Bianca. I then took a sip from my glass. After that everything was a blur. The wall exploded and I brought Nico and Bianca into me and had my back to the exploding wall. I turned and saw Hades holding my Mom in his arms and Nico and Bianca passed out in my arms. I passed out when Hades was talking with someone.
