Rude Awakening

I woke up, but felt a bit funny. Everything around me was spinning. I felt nothing but a headache. My arms hurt, and so did my legs. My eyes felt sore, and all I did was just lay in bed, feeling this mysterious feeling. I couldn't even call out to my siblings. I was basically disabled at that point.

Why on earth am I feeling this way?  I forced myself to remember, but all I remembered was just starring out to starry sky outside my window.

"Hey, Liam, food's ready. So don't you think it's about ti-" Victoria's face suddenly became as pale as snow, "BLOODY HELL! WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS??!"

She rushed into my room and checked my temperature. She stayed quiet for a bit.

"What is it...?" I asked

"42 degrees Celsius." she replied.

Say what now. First, I am unable to move an inch, and my whole body feels like shit, and now I'm 42 degrees Celsius?? Seriously?

"We better call a doctor before you get worse. Stay in bed." V said before leaving, and at the doorstep she looked back at me and told me, "Stay there. Don't move an inch."

She always did that. Because I have the habit to move around. A lot.

I heard faint voices of my brother and sister in the other room saying "He is in terrible condition!" V said.

"Did he eat anything that seemed off?" Klaus asked.

"No, I don't think so..."

"Now that's weird. Especially he did not have this fever at all. He shouldn't have it."

What fever. And shouldn't? Why not? Yeah, it is bad, but how am I supposed not to have it, why am I not supposed to?

"Contact grandfather. He has to know about this. Liam is-" Klaus continued.

Then, at that moment, my consciousness gave in. My eyes shut, and my mind drifted off to another world.

A moment later, I was floating above a huge city. It was filled with lights from buildings, and, I have to say it was quite lively. I did not know why, but it felt I've been there before. The sky was black, as lightning struck through the clouds. Purple flames were suddenly lit on shrines, and people gathered around, pointing up to the storm.

"So, I guess it has awakened." one of the people said.

"Yeah. I guess you're right."

"The user of-"

Suddenly, the scene changed. And the room dropped. I was standing in the middle of a huge throne room, yet there was no throne. Instead, there was a black orb floating in the middle of the room inside a crimson box that looked like glass. Then, a huge rumbling sound of thunder deafened my ears, as lightning struck, phasing through the ceiling and striking the glass box, shattering it to a million pieces. I was blown away from the shock, slamming my back hard against the wall. My vision blurred for a few moments, then everything started to become clearer. But I certainly hoped in that moment that my vision would've stayed blurred.  Standing across the room, was a massive creature. It had wings as massive as mountains, I was sure it stood about 90 feet. It had deadly eyes that seemed to stare into my soul. It had amethyst eyes, yet filled with the instinct to kill. Before I could blink, the creature flew over to where I was still lying on the ground. Only then did I realize that this creature was what I did not believe it was. Its pitch black body, with a pattern of lightning cursing through it. It stood high and mighty, looking down, locking its eyes with mine. It snarled, then let out a deafening roar. Right after, it spread its massive wings and flew off into the black sky. Leaving me drenched in sweat, trying to realize what just happened.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

I kept on hearing the sound of water dripping. But oh how very wrong was I.

Red. Warm. Red...? Warm...? B-b-blood...?!

There it was. My hand on my left eye, covered in bright red blood. My blood. But how? How am I bleeding, why am I bleeding? I started to recall what was happening, but couldn't. Just sharp pain that felt like severing my organs was what I felt. Then I remembered something. Why was I here? An orb... That's when I realized. The orb!! Before my eyes, it was floating. The black energy orb floating before me.

What should I do? I thought, perhaps touch it? It wouldn't hurt would it? No.. Maybe it would.

I was hesitating, not knowing what to do. Should I touch the orb or leave it be? I kept on asking myself the same question.

I'd rather not die. I thought to myself, then I backed away from the orb. Sure, it was tempting, but I did not want to take a risk. Yeah... a risk...

Screw it.

With that, I reached to the energy orb. I had a feeling that it was going to injure me as well, but surprisingly enough, it did not.

I felt nothing at first, before I blacked out again, with the immense sharp pain I felt before I was teleported to this city.

But I did not feel normal like I always did. I felt some kind of energy running through my veins. W

What's with this tingling feeling? I thought. I had no idea. Not a single idea of what was awaiting for me in the near future.
