Flashes 2

Hailey's POV:
Muffled screams, Flashing lights, police sirens, the sound of people shouting, and a babies cry, filled my ears, as I tried so desperately to stay awake.

I continued blicking my eyes to get rid of the blurry feeling that filled them, I looked to my left to see Jamal, who was now laying lifeless covered in blood, with half his body outside the windscreen, I winced at the sight and tried so desperately to turn to Brooke.

I took a glance which I immediately regretted.

Broken glass and other sharp objects
were stuck really deep into her skin, her body was covered in cuts, bruises and wounds, she had a head injury that went from her ear to her eyebrow, and her clothes were covered in her own blood. "Hailey?"

My head whipped to the side when I heared Brooke's soft almost lifeless voice call my name. I hastily rushed over to her side and held her hand , finally letting out a sob that I didn't even realise I was holding. "Brooke.....Brookelyn..." I managed to choke out between my sobs, "Hail, I need you to listen to me, listen well okay?" Brooke said with tears in her eyes, I gently nodded already knowing what she was going to say. "I'm about to die Hails..... like really soon, I just wanted to tell you one thing before I go.....thank you, thank you for being by my side during the pregnancy, thank you for making my life totally awesome even though I knew it wouldn't last long......." she took a long pause, with her eyes now closing slowly.

"And thank you in advance as well....." she paused again "in....advance?" I asked eagerly waiting for her reply "i know you'll take care of my little baby......Gabriella in my absence..... I know she'll grow up to be strong....so much stronger than her weak mother ." Brooke said letting out a weak laugh that almost came out as a cough

"I know she'll grow up to be just as bright, funny, compassionate and joyful as you......." it felt like with every word she spoke, every breath she took brought her closer to death, and that scared me ".... please take care of her for me, be the protector I could never be.....and live your life to the fullest.... I.... love you....Hails, now and forever and I love you too my baby Gabriella, I'll always be with you ......" and then she shut her eyes, I felt her hand get limp in mine, which made me sob uncontrollably, I let out pained screams while I continued tugging on Brooke's clothes as she layed lifeless on the cold concrete floor .

I turned around to grab a crying Gabriella on the ground, while piercing tears left my eyes.
I bent down to Brooke's dead body still clutching it, with Gabriella in my hands.

Before I knew it, I was being pulled off Brooke by officers while I still held Gabriella, I screamed and kicked for them to leave but,almost instantly I felt a sharp pain on my neck, everything became inaudible for a second before going instantly black...... not again.
