Waking up suddenly became the hardest thing to do. I groan sitting up in my bed. Slightly disoriented still not used to the room. I stretch my arms out wide and a yawn breaks through my lips. I get dressed and ready , I revive a text saying where I was supposed to met Jackson. I grab my keys making sure I looked the part. I was wearing a short white dress ,with small red flats and red lipstick. I waltz out to my car and drive to the meeting place .It was a small coffee shop hidden away from most people's eyes. I park my car and head inside, I scan the few people there and spot Jackson sipping a coffee in the back. "Hello" I say quietly as to not disturb the other patrons. He glances up from his phone and smirks looking me up and down. I cross my arms over my chest protectivly." hello Lora" he says as I sit down across from him.
"So what do I need to do for this deal of ours?"
"Simply meet lux then your mine till you wish to stop protection but this means you join the ranks of us, very low though."
I nod "There is one rule .I'm not a slut. Touch me and you'll regret it." He chuckles "sure I wil-"he was interrupted by his phone ringing. He answers and talks sternly ,must be taking to one of his men. He ends the call.
"come on we have to leave" he grabs my arm roughly pulling me up, attracting a few cautious gazes that quickly return to their own business . We walk swiftly to his car and get in. Then he finally talks once he pulls out " sorry lions were seen near our location can't risk losing you, lux would freak. You see he doesn't like losing people , so you are in very safe hands.".
After a long drive we pull up to this gorgeous house. I smile taking in the fine architecture of this building. We come to a stop and Jackson gets out to greet one of the men standing guard ."lions were spotted I must talk to lux ," he says hastily "take care of the girl" with that he ducks in between the men. The guard turns towards me and glares"follow me" he orders. We both head inside the house it was much bigger on the inside. He leds me down stairs the smell of mold hits my nose. "Come on" he grasps my arm pushing me into a dark room, he lets me go and closed the door immersing me in a shroud of darkness. What the hell, why did he put me in here. I heard him walk away and I was utterly alone.
What feels like hours pass by I hear faint yelling. Suddenly I'm blinded by a bright light. Once I can fully see again I see a rather pissed off Jackson. " I'm sorry Lora," he says coming inside the cell." Luke misunderstood me when I said take care of you," he adds apologetically. I stand up and we walk out of the basement/dungeon. "What now since the lions are here?"I ask curious of when I could leave this damn place.He looks at me and says"Your stuck here unless you want to risk getting killed or captured." I sigh "for how long?"
"Till the lions are dealt with"
"Great just great what do I do till then. I have clients I need to tend too" I lied to him. He shrugs "they'll find a new girl." well there goes that excuse. He pauses at the end of the hall, standing in front of two large dark oak doors. He knocks" Lux she's here," Jackson states. The doors eerily open with a slow moan, inside the room was dark, it had grey walls with dark oak dressers and desks. Sitting behind the huge desk was a tall figure who's gaze watched me carefully. His hair was styled similar to Jackson's , they looked like brothers except lux had green eyes and no scar on his handsome face. He wore a tight black button up and dress trousers, much like a business man might wear to work. " hello there Lora" a deep voice interrupted my thoughts." I presume your lux?" I inquired. He smirked " yes I am and Jackson has updated me on your little deal so welcome" he spreads his arms out gesturing around the room"your safety is guaranteed while in our hands" he says. " I do suggest though any secrets should be told now so in the future our deal won't end in your death." he says obviously knowing something. I shake my head no."well then I'll get a room ready for you while we deal with the lions" he says ordering someone to led me to the room. I walk out of the office and up some stairs to a corridor of bedrooms. He shows me to my room and then leaves me too get settled in. What did Lux know? That I'm a spy, that I'm lier. Or that my brother was killed doing the same thing I am about to do.
