CEDRIC.

"So..." A few days after the quidditch match, (y/n) and I hung out at the black lake once again, and this time, I laid next to her with our shoulders touched. I look at her and added, "since I can get to know you as a real friend now, can I ask questions?"

"Yes."

"Really?"

"..."

Knowing that she wants me to ask the things I've been wanting to ask, I say, "Okay," in response to her silence. "Where did you get the bracelet, exactly?" The first thing that came to mind was that question. I looked at my right hand again, this time noticing the sun pendant gleaming in the daylight.

"From a muggle shop," she breathes in the fresh, breezy air. "It was the last matching bracelet set. I had to get i-"

"Matching bracelet?" My eyes lit up at that. Turning my head to look at her, I see her face full of regret after saying that. Her cheeks slowly turned red and she sighed in defeat, nodding at my question. "I suppose you have the other bracelet? And does it come with a moon pendant?" I ask joyfully.

"Yeah, and yeah."

"You should wear it!" I exclaimed.

"I can't hear you. I think I'm getting sleepy," I hear her say as she effortlessly tries to keep her eyes open, but the comfortable like-so weather today made it hard for her to do so. This happened before, and I think it's unfair for her to sleep now when I need to know more things to understand her.

I frowned at this and sat up, turning myself to her and gently yet seriously pulling her body up, holding her shoulders and lightly shaking her. She didn't even bother to yell at me as it just made her even more sleepy that her head almost crashed into my chest. "(Y/n), this isn't fair," I jokingly said with a sad tone, "I can't wait another few hours for you to answer my next questions!"

Sometimes, sleepy people have a tendency to behave without thinking, which is what she did. She scolded me to shut up and forced me to lie down once again while embracing me like a bolster. The air added to the cosiness of the situation as her head curled up next to my neck. I could've moved if I wanted to, but I think I'm getting sleepy, too.

"Do you enjoy being around me?" She questioned in a sleepy voice. Her question caught me off guard because it wasn't typical of her to ask questions like that, but because she seemed at ease, I smiled and sighed.

I answered, "I do," extending out to stroke her hair as she asked another question. "Do you like Cho that way?" I arched an eyebrow at that and wondered whether she had been thinking about it.

I paused before responding as I gave it some thought. Yes, she used to catch my interest since I thought she was great at quidditch, but I'm not sure if it was romantically motivated. A while back, we engaged in some lighthearted match, and as she flew next to me, I noted that my stomach felt strange. However, it was only because I was concerned that I could lose.

I don't think I've ever really seen somebody romantically. According to my female friend, I can likely tell if I do by feeling like there are 'butterflies' in my stomach or that my heart is beating more quickly than usual. Perhaps someday I'll experience both of those.

"Aren't I supposed to be the one asking you questions?" I chuckle, "but no... I'm not sure yet."

"If you ever do, please don't stop being my friend." I could hear her snoring lightly after that as she drifts off to sleep. This made me grin because, in reality, she seems to be a soft person.

When I was sure she was completely asleep, I turn my head and gaze at her. I wondered how her family treats her badly. She doesn't deserve any of that. The fact that my father told stories about her mother, too, shocked me when I first found out that she used to be friends with my father; almost everyone.
