•Chapter Four•

MAX'S POV

We left the food court after eating.

"Do you still want to go to wills?"-Max

"yes.."-El

"Alright, something on your mind?"-max

"No, I'm alright."-El

I lied.

I should have just told her.

Whatever

"Ok, hop on"-Max

MAXS POV

I rode up the driveway to Wills house and El hoped off.

I waved and her beautiful smile lit up as she waved back.

"Bye.." -Max *mumbling*

I sat there on my back for a few seconds and watched her disappear into the house.

ELEVENS POV

I knocked a few times on the door and Joyce opened it.

"Oh, hi sweetie!" -joyce

"hi.. Um.."-El

She looked at me puzzled.

"C-can I talk to Will?" -El

"Oh of course, WILL!" -Joyce

Silence.

"Ugh. How about you come on in and go knock on his door. He's been in his room all day blasting his music." -Joyce

I nodded and stepped inside.

"thank you." -El

I walked up to Wills door.

He was blasting 'Should I stay or should I go?'.

Or at least.

That's what I was told it was called.

WILLS POV

I hugged my legs to my chest and buried my face in my knees.

Suddenly I heard a knock on my door.

Thinking it was mom or Jonathan, I turned my music down and yelled.

"Go away. I told you I'm not feeling good." -Will

"i-its Eleven." -El

El?

What's El doing here?

"Oh, um, my bad. Come in."

She opened the door and shut it behind her as she slowly came inside.

"so what's up? You don't really come over without hopper."-Will

I patted the spot next to me signaling for her to sit down, and she plopped down next to me.

She sighed.

"do you ever..."

"do ever get this feeling in your stomach when-"

"when you look at a certain person?" -El

Yes.

I do.

Whenever I think about or look at Mike.

But I can't tell her that.

"No.. Not recently."

"but i have heard that could just be what you feel when you love someone, you are dating mike still right?" -Will

She shrugged her shoulders.

"Why do you ask?"-Will

"I- just."-El

She was struggling with her words.

"I don't know." -El

She sighed.

"I think you should talk to Johnathan, he's the one with the girlfriend." -Will

I should have told her.

But this conversation was too awkward.

"Good idea, thanks Will." -El

She got up and left the room.

ELEVENS POV

I left Wills room and heard the music turn back up as the door closed.

I walked down the hall into the living room to see Joyce sitting on the couch.

"Um.. Sorry to bug but.. I-is Johnathan home?" -El

"Oh! Was Will not much of a help?" -Joyce

"Not really" -El

I chuckled awkwardly.

"He should be. I'll show you to his room." -Joyce.

She got up from the couch and walked down the hall.

"Jonathan, you there?" -Joyce

"Huh?" -Jonathan

"there's your answer,"-Joyce

She walked back down the hallway and into the living room.

"C-can I come in"-El

"Huh? Oh, Um. Sure, sure."-Jonathan

I opened the door and saw Jonathan sitting on his bed fiddling with his camera.

"oh, hey eleven, I don't think we've ever really talk talked"-Jonathan

Silence filled the room as I came and shut the door behind me.

"so, what's up?"-Jonathan

I sat on the edge of the bed.

"do ever look at someone and get. Tingles in your stomach?" -El

"Oh yeah! All the time when I think about Nancy, Why?"-Jonathan

"The problem is. Your dating Nancy. But.." -El

The words felt impossible to say.

"when I get that, that feeling. It's not about mike" -El

"huh, then who?" -Jonathan

"its when I look at max" -El

"Oh, really?" -Jonathan

He shuffled closer to me.

"Ever since I started talking to her. I also started to notice more things about her. Like her beautiful blue eyes. Her hair" -El

I got a tingle in my stomach just thinking about it.

"It sounds like you have a crush to me." -Jonathan

"But max is like me. A girl." -El

"uh huh."-Jonathan

"An-And girls mostly like.. Like boys." -El

"well, I don't know why a girl couldn't like a girl. Do you ever get that feeling with mike?" -Jonathan

"only once. Which was the first time he kissed me. But never after that."

"huh.. I think you should tell both mike and Max how you feel. And try to work things out with them." - Jonathan

"ok.. Thanks Jonathan, you really helped." -El

I got up and headed towards the door.

"See ya."-Jonathan

"See ya.."-El
