Generally, a capital city of a country is the best tourist destination. However, the United States is different. Though Washington D. C. is the capital city. Most tourists prefer New York or Chicago. This is because most people do not know why Washington D. C. is worth to visit.
Washington D. C. has two types of popular tourist attractions. One is the monuments and the other is the museums where tourists can spend their time touring are the 16 Smithsonian museums, where there is a museum to fit almost everyone's interests.
