"People of Paris, Ladybug had promised to protect you? Well, she lied to you! Behold, her defeat! I took all the Miraculous from her! Now I'm more powerful than ever! From now on, I will be attacking you relentlessly. I would be everywhere probing your thoughts, stealing your dreams, harnessing your deepest fears! Whatever damage I can cause, I will not stop! Unless... someone brings me Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous!" Hawkmoth's voice roars throughout the heart of paris

Ladybug clutches her head in her hands, "I've lost everything!"

"You haven't lost me" Cat Noir asserted.

Ladybug gasps and turns her head to look at Cat Noir who is standing beside her.

"Why don't you just give up on me? I lost all the Miraculous, I'm the worst Guardian ever! I wanted to control everything, I didn't listen to you, I lied to you, I kept you at a distance! Every time you offered me a helping hand, I never took it! I really made a mess of everything!" Ladybug cries out.

Cat Noir reaches out his hand, "M'lady"

Ladybug blushes at his action and slowly takes his hand. Cat Noir pulls her up and embraces her, "We're gonna get them back one by one, until the very last. And we'll make sure this never happens again!"

Ladybug hides her head into the crook of her partners neck, "You... and me?"

Cat Noir pulls back, "You, the best superhero there ever was," he then gestures to the huge crowd of Parisians below them, cheering for them. "them, the people of Paris..."

The Parisians chant the name, "Ladybug! Ladybug! Ladybug! Ladybug!"

Cat Noir's eyes narrow in determination, "And me, your loyal partner".

"N-no" Cat Noir stiffens at the his partners words.

He whips his head to the bug-hero, "What?"

Ladybug kept her eyes downcast, "I have made too many mistakes, I haven't been a good Ladybug. And when Master Fu made me guardian, the first thing I should have done was renounce the role as Ladybug."

Cat Noir try's to refuse, but is cut off, "I've already made up my mind, so there is no way to convince me otherwise. I know last time I left the ladybug miraculous in someone else hands without telling you, you didn't have the best reaction. So this time I am telling you, and I've already found the perfect person."

With that Ladybug swings off into an unknown location.

Cat Noir tried his best to find Ladybug, scanning every inch of Paris, but without knowledge of who his partner might be, he couldn't find her.

Eventually the sun rose and he had to get back home.

Adrien walked through the door to his classroom, and everyone looked tired. Yesterday's events were gruesome, and he was positive no one was feeling the love.

Ms.Bustier could feel the tension in the room, she wanted nothing more than to see her students smiling, no matter the threats at hand. "Now, Now, Class. I know HawkMoth has gotten stronger, but our hero's will protect us. No matter what! We just have to trust them!"

Chloe's voice rings through the room, "As if! Those utterly ridiculous Hero's couldn't even do their job! Even lame Ladybug managed to let HawkMoth get all the remaining miraculous'."

"She's trying her best Chloe! Not like you would ever know anything about that." Alya grumbled

Both Marinette and Adrien frowned at Alya's words. Yeah she did try her best, but it wasn't enough. Or at least that's what Ladybug thought. Ladybug feeling like she wasn't good enough lead her to renounce her miraculous and hand it over to someone she believed could.
