so when did it start?

If someone will ask me when did I start falling in love with Hikari? Well, it was long time ago. Back in middle school, she always challenges me everyday about getting high scores, in sports and in stupid stuffs. I almost memorized her lines every morning.
"Takishima! I challenge you in todays science quiz!"
I just looked at her with my ever so expressionless eyes that I couldn't contain more. I knew she wouldn't catch up to me, the scenarios were all the same. I'd still win against her, though it may be just a point or two more but I always finished the exams fast. Hikari would use a lot of time to review all of her answers.
But doesn't she feel tired?
Not even once she'd win against me. She is the second best of this school and I am in the first place. Everyone who challenged me, I beat all of them... and they gave up. But Hikari, she's in her limit but she pushes harder when it's obvious she couldn't go far away.
I sighed. It annoys me but she won't stop even if I say something. I continued to read.
"And now you won't talk to me!" she went closer to me, pointing her finger on my head. "You can feel at ease for now because today, I will definitely beat you." I looked at her once and the effort was seen on her face. It took all night for her to study while me, I played chess games.
"Do whatever you want, the result is still the same." I was known for being the silent guy and I really don't talk most of the day, I just relied on my books. I was tired for being known as a special kid and some kids won't even play at me because of that but Hikari, she's just keeps coming... endlessly.
"Hah! Let's see who will win for now! Nobody knows the future except we rule the present!" and she sat on her chair, some girls flung over her to talk to her about something while me, I was sitting on the dullest spot of the room... away from everyone else.
There is something that I notice about Hikari, wherever she is, she brings fun to the place.

The quiz went too easy so I used the extra time to go to the garden and sleep. Akira doesn't hang out with me most of the time. She hate that I was silent and couldn't talk to her about things. But when she does, she always like to make a tea for me and Yahiro. Right now, Yahiro was not here in Japan. He is studying overseas.
I felt like I've slept for hours so I put my book back in my bag. I sensed someone is running from my position, and the long black hair in the distance, would make me assume that it is Hikari, probably wanting to know my scores.
