It was my very first lunch and I had no friends and no table to go to. Trying not to look like a complete loner I put in my headphones and acted like I was texting someone while looking for a place to sit. I knew no one around me and judging by their rudely cast glances I knew no one wanted me to sit with them anyway. To my left there were trees so I decided to sit amongst one of the tallest with dying leaves. I mean the tree wasn't that bad but now people are going to get some weird hippie vibe from me, and I am definitely not a hippie! Looking around I didn't see anyone staring at me until I heard my name being called, "Lunaliss!!" I shoved my head in my satchel and held my breath. "Luna you must be completely looney to think I can't see you!" He laughed, "Help! A random body with nothing but a bag for a head!" He laughed again. I pulled my head out to see him holding his stomache laughing and twirling around the tree. I rolled my eyes and messily brushed down my hair, he dropped down next to me. "Looneyliss," he kept laughing, " I heard your brother in the locker room telling his football buds." I shook my head, "Great to see you too Jake." He paused his laughter and looked me in the eyes, "Why did you move away from me in class?" I shrugged and looked down at my bag, "I don't remember." I looked back at him and smiled quickly then looked back down. "Well I gotta go the girlfriend is waiting!" Jake popped up and ran off towards the lunch line.
What the heck? What is he doing flirting with me when he has a girlfriend? Geez boys are horrible, luckily Greyson introduced me into players early so I got a head start away from the whole heartbreak stuff. I'm not the mushy type anyways, surprisingly Jake is the first nice boy to talk to me in my entire life, but that says a lot about boys. I laughed at my own thought and looked around to see if anyone saw me laugh. I must look like a complete loner. Shrugging I awkwardly looked down at my bag for the fiftieth time. The bell rang in my ears and I realized I didn't even start my book yet, I pushed myself up and walked to class.
