"You can't be serious". Klara sighed as she ran her hands through her hair in frustration.

Last night she got a DM from Gabi while on the bus journey to Liverpool, talking and bragging about how she went out with Mason for a fancy dinner with just the two of them. Klara couldn't shake of the feeling of betrayal that she felt coming from the Chelsea boy, but she couldn't find the reason of make an excuse up for why he would have done it. She had put herself in the spotlight for him just for him to go and throw away what they were working on just to make his 'engaged' ex to believe the opposite by taking her out to dinner.

Klara had decided to just let it go until the game was over and try to enjoy the game that she was meant to be supporting her 'boyfriend' in but in reality all she wanted to do was go back to the hotel room and curl up into a ball in bed and watch a movie while drowning herself with sweets. She was happy she didn't come to Liverpool alone but instead had Soph to keep her company, they had brunch in a small cafe to catch up with each other before they had to be at Anfield.

No matter how hard she tried to enjoy the game she couldn't help but think back to what Gabi had said, Kai had scored the opening goal which made the two girls squeal out of happiness and hug one another, the brief moment of happiness came as a small distraction for the girl who anticipated and couldn't wait to get back home.

The game had ended 1-1, the two girlfriends were making their way down to the away dressing room to congratulate their boyfriends on a good game considering they had gone down to 10 men just before half time. The smell of sweat and mens cologne hit the girls' noses hard making them momentarily scrunch up their noses in disgust before they just became accustomed to the scent within a few minutes, Klara searched around the room before her eyes narrowed in on a shirtless Mason who was talking to Christian right next to him. All she wanted to do was stare at him for hours like that but remembered she was in a room with him and his teammates, her feet made their way in his direction making Christian look at her with a smile.

"Good game". She said in a dull tone as she gave Mason a small pat on his bare back before sitting down on the bench beside him. Her attitude surprised both boys especially since she just sat there not saying a word and looking deep in thought.

"I'll leave you two then". Christian sensed the tension radiating off the two and felt he was too tired for any drama after the game they both just had.

"How was Gabi?". Klara broke the silence as she avoided all eye contact with the boy but instead examined her painted nails, the question itself glued Mason to the spot.

"How would I know?". His eyebrows scrunched up in fake confusion as he put a clean shirt on.

"Don't bullshit me". She hissed, her patience was starting to run out and felt that she was on the brink of breaking down.

"Would you like me to refresh your memory? Let me see if I can, three days ago at the Shard. Ring any bells?". That was the moment he knew he was caught in the act and she knew that too.

"I can explain".

"Can you really? Oh I've been waiting for this one. But I don't think I want to hear it". They both walked down the hallway towards the coach.

"I feel humiliated, do you know how stupid I look? My boyfriend going to dinner with his ex who's supposed to be engaged". Tears pricked her eyes as her voice raised momentarily but went back to a harsh whisper once she realised they were outside.

"Did you really want to bring this up here? You couldn't wait until we got back to the hotel?". His annoyance took over.

"I couldn't take it anymore, I felt embarrassed. How do you think I felt when I got the message from Gabi? Huh? Did you even think of how I would feel or how I would look?".

"Look can we talk about this when we get back to the hotel?". He asked with a bored tone.

"I'm afraid not, I'm flying out tonight. But I do think I need we need a break, I need to rethink this whole thing". She bit back at the boy, leaving him shocked as she made her way towards the back of the bus to sit next to Sophia, the German immediately seeing something was wrong and gave her a big hug while Klara cried into her shoulder.

"I feel like such an idiot Soph". She sobbed more.

"Don't be silly, you have every right to feel this way". She hugged her tighter in an attempt to console her.

They had arrived at the hotel within 15 minutes, Klara's eyes were puffy from all the crying as well as her eyes so she thought that the best option to try and hide her sadness was putting her sunglasses on. She had asked the desk to bring down her luggage so she could make a quick exit and not go back into her and Mason's room. All the boys looked confused as they saw Klara with her luggage knowing they all weren't leaving for another night, but all realised the reason for her early departure as they put two and two together after seeing her face.

"Hey K! Wait up!". Ben shouted as he jogged through the reception towards her.

"Leaving without saying goodbye?". He laughed, trying to raise her spirits but she didn't seem to find it funny as he spotted another tear run down her cheek through her glasses.

"I just need a little break, I'm just going to Zandvoort to see some friends and get my mind off some things. Don't worry I'll be back before you know it". She sent him a weak smile and a small kiss on the cheek before giving him a hug.

"I need to go now, but I'll text you later". Klara gave him a small wave as she made her way to her Uber, she felt tired, emotionally drained.

Was this all really worth it? Only time would tell.
