The young girl looked behind herself, seeing her mother stand at the doorway of her bedroom. Y/N smiled, she turned away from her book.
"I'm reading about this girl that fell in love with a boy! They became a couple and stargazed and the-" Y/N paused to see her mother smile sadly. "Are you alright, mom?" The little girl asked. The mother nodded and patted her head.
She grabbed a chair and went out to the balcony. A telescope pointed at the night sky, the sky that shined brightly. Y/N's eyes darted upwards, the shine of the stars and the moon were utterly beautiful.
The two bathed in the warm sky, The youngling's eyes full of interest and curiosity. "One day, I too, will join the stars. I'll be at rest, ." Y/N's mother spoke.
The girl looked at her mother and tilted her head in confusion. "How would you become a star?" She asked. Her mother chuckled and ignored the question. "You'll once find a young man that'll fit to be your husband. Together, you and he will rule this place, rule Eldia."
The young girl beamed. "Really?! I can experience what happened in my book? I can rule this place?!" She asked excitedly. In response, her mother nodded. "He'll always make you feel happy, He'll make you feel warm and safe." She smiled.
Then, her mother patted her head. "But first, you have to make him meet me! I want to make sure he really cares about you, dear."
Y/N nodded eagerly. "I promise that I will!"
The two looked up at the night sky again. There was silence. One was happily watching while the other was in sorrow. Tears brimmed her eyes as she hugged the young child close to her. "One day you will understand, Y/N, one day." She cried out.
