It was the first start of their mission, going into a luxury hotel room and making themselves comfortable in their respective areas. Still, barely talking but he still looked over here and there to attempt to catch her looking to no avail. He couldn't help it however, since she was gorgeous. He observed her walk over to the kitchen within the luxury hotel room, taking a few teabags out of a pouch. He took this moment to try and spark of a conversation despite both of their social anxiety and his terrible ability to keep a conversation going.

"so... what kind of tea do you like?"

He asked while leaning on the wall, trying to keep up the calm and stoic demeanor while he talked. Tess didn't reply, but brought over a spoon instead for him to try then tea she made. However, all while looking away since she didn't like eye contact. Reluctantly, Kennedy tried it. He wanted to get some kind of brownie points with her to try and crack her quiet and reserved attitude. He hummed in approval, it was sweet and fruity.

"Is this, strawberry tea?"

He asked with a curious head tilt. Tess nodded and put the spoon in the sink, then grabbed a clean one and made one for Leon. He was open to trying new things so he took the cup without question and sipped it. It was nice compared to the hard liquor he had prior to gain the confidence to even get out of bed. Now sitting on their beds, his soft stare at Tess never left as she sat in a chair and crossed her legs. Drinking her tea while scrolling through her updates on the mission, eventually speaking up once more.

"I know this is sudden, but I want you to know I have a way to do things as an agent. Just as long as you try to adapt and go along with it, im sure we'll make it out alive and become great partners, and even friends if you're open to that?"

He chuckled softly while drinking his tea after, sighing softly when he hears no reply, until he did.

"no worries."

Tess spoke in a deep feminine natural tone. Taking him completely off guard, clearing his throat and looking away with a small blush before speaking up.

"Glad we're on the same page."

"Mhm."

Tess replied back, Leon calmed down. Sighing contently as he sipped his tea with a look of amusement.
