Everath had been put asunder by the fall of the great moon Nrim. The realms divided against their will and among the diverse nations desecration came. The terror and profane sacrilege of the betrayer had laid wounds deep and had slew Crisamber the Last of the Divine. Kagaar the blasphemer and unrighteous exacted torment upon the House of Light and brought them low. He smote them for they had trusted in Light or that the Divine had comforted them. They were delivered unto the cursed of his creations to be torn and sawn apart by cruel and wicked devices. So it was that Kagaar and his dark prophets; the disreputable and abominable were delighted to serve him. Granting unto them his blood to drink; the corrupted and putrid line of Dring changed them, so became the Darklings and dread filled the hearts of men. In chains and in scourgings, denied bread in their destitution many Imril died. So it has been recorded since the beginning.
The West was severed from Elerin in the nightmares that followed the Fall of Nrim. Since that time it was known as Ekhannar, the Severed West, which lies beyond the vastness of the Silver Sea. Then as if was foretold that an uncertain Light arose upon the mighty winds of hope; and out of prisons and torments did one come to rule and to reign. And at the sounds of trumpets were the bars of cruel iron broken and his bands cracked against the rock. The fear of him lighted upon Kagaar who determined within himself to have him destroyed. For Kagaar percieved no Light in him though he had the Heart of Crisamber. He bore upon his head a crown of scars and in his resistance grew there his strength. Kagaar therefore on the wise taught his own Chosen to stir in the realms darkness and madness; from thence the Kinrah came, and the Mirunds with their black hearts. With them did all manner of the Darkling dwell. The rented holes and dug pits deep into the scars of the land; and chasms deep were wrought and made, bottomless before them. And to them it was given a set course in time which was put into motion by Kagaar, the descendent of Dring and all of his minions with him. Of which came forth out of his bosom Mazar the Mad and Drazband the Lightless.
So the wicked inventions of the Mad rooted out of Throst the Nendwar; whom Kagaar foresaw as a threat to his power and dominion. For their knowledge ran deep in those days, and that they also would withhold it so as to cause the Underdrums to boom and the Warvaults of Grll to be opened. So it was that Guthore and Gulleystrand stood against the Mad but with their own craftiness beguiled them. For they engaged in war to learn of the inventions and so it was that they were tempted by them, and they did not foresee that dagger already within the House of Stone. And their hearts were not set upon the Divine as the Mauls Stonefather and they mingled instead with their own wisdom and with ambassadors and mediators sent out from the Dark Prophets. So it was that they were deceived and the Lightless came in unto them that they might be betrayed by him. So Drazban stole the souls of the Nendwar from within; and Throst fell for the guilt of the blood of the Nendwar. If that they would have chosen mortality willingly apart from the Divine as Kagaar had so done to feast on, to devour and destroy but would not submit to him and rebelled.
For the Nendwar knew that the Great Forsaking of the Stonefathers would be their ruin so now few Nendwar saw the light and were changed henceforth into Ruaghs and the Ondwar to abide as Darklings forever. And Anthrandos saw what the Ancient had done so as to undo the workings of the Light which was not permitted for them to do. So was the Heart of Crisamber grieved and the bowels of the Paladins were moved; for Imril of the race of men were fell and mortal but in them the Divine did move. And they were few and far between in those days since the beginning of Ekhanaar and the Severed West. Since the fall of the moon Nrim were most of the histories of the Imril lost. Yet they remembered the Divine of those whom still remained and they knew that Anthrandos had the Heart of Crisamber. His line was highborn and that of the Old Blood of the Novian kings which ran within his veins; of which the Destroyer broke their Houses of Light and brought their own trust in Nrim down upon them.
So Kagaar slew Crisamber and the Divine Descendants with their blood were scattered to the four winds. And the lands grew violent and no peace lingered there in the dangerous wastes of Ekhanaar where ash and fire choke. Thus the Canons of the Dark Prophets were written for the Lightless and the Darkling horde that is in it. And Ekhanaar, even in Ekhanaar was the realm of Drynn established there. Only there did peace mean the letting of the blood of the last remaining men of the Imrils. It was here that Kagaar thought also to undo the race of men. To establish through the Mad inventions to discern the stars in heaven and that the Lightless should put them out. So it was that the Star-Thief secured himself above O'Dax, chief of the Dark Prophets. But the prophesies of O'Dax unrelented and caused the Imrils to recant of their covenant with the Divine and in doing so angered the Last House of Light. That the candles and braziers in that house burned brighter.
So it was that Kagaar whom sought to veil and corrupt the Light caused the Daysman to arise to go to warring and to war with the Darklings. So the veil was rent away from the Arbiter and the houses of the red elves were shaken and the Mir of Elerin were wroth. So the nations of elves and of men marched their armies again the Lightless and wings of fire flew out of the House of Light. So came forth Elrucaine out of the furnaces of fire and the rings of the mountains of Skhaaros still burn there with fire perpetually, even unto the day recorded. Then did the Imrils gather together with the Mir and the Silmir to wage war against the Mad and Guthore was there but Gulleystrand was no more. Anthrandos therefore saw and marveled that there was Light still which had remained or that the prophesies of Orro Ukelowa would be true.
