Pia
The date is December 12
Leni will pick Pia up on their way to the coffee shop since Pia has to see something. Pia is anxiously waiting for her.
Leni finally arrived after several minutes of waiting.
"Pwede naman kasi dito sa bahay, bakit sa coffee shop pa?"
"Basta, sumakay ka nalang. Baka kasi magwala ka kapag dito ko pinakita sa bahay mo marinig pa ni Loren."
"Tangina, ano nanaman ginawa ko?"
"Chill."
When they at last got to the coffee shop, Pia sat down at the table and started tapping her fingers. They are relieved to be the only customers at the coffee shop.
"Pakibilisan, inip na inip na ako."
Leni sat down, opened her laptop, and started playing the video of Pia telling Loren that she makes her happy.
"What the fuck?! No I'm drunk lang naman."
"Hmm Pia, drunk thoughts are sober thoughts. Admit it my friend."
"Okay she makes me happy as a friend."
"Sus, I don't believe you. Aminin mo na please, Pia it's okay."
"All right Leni, OK, I like Loren. I believe I already love her, not just "like," her.
"Why are you hesitant to express your feelings for her?
"Kasi paano kung hindi naman pala kami same ng nararamdaman for each other, what if for her I'm just her friend?"
"Ayan pinapairal mo nanaman pagiging over-thinker mo, try mo lang aminin don't rush. Malay mo gusto ka rin niya."
"What if nga hanggang friends lang kami? I don't want to ruin our friendship."
"And what if she likes you too, pero pinili mong 'di aminin kasi hindi siya nag fi-first move, tapos napagod siya maghintay, tapos nakahanap siya ng iba oh paano na?"
"That is exactly what you said to me when I was hesitant to confess to Risa. You even said that if you truly desire someone, you are prepared to take any risk. But why won't you apply it to yourself? You need to shoot your shot, Pia. Loren is very understanding. Eh diba naamin mo naman na sakanya na you like girls so ano pa hinihintay mo?"
"I'll try to confess, pero ayoko magmadali."
"Don't try, do it Pilar. Trust me, just do it."
"Okay fine, paano ko siya gagawin?"
"Hmm, maybe sa place na kayo lang dalawa. Stargazing gano'n diba mahilig yun sa nature?"
"Sige. Thanks."
"Hay nako Pia, you can do it."
"Alam ko, kinakabahan lang talaga ako. What if-"
"Shh, tama na yan what ifs mo Dios Mio."
Pia sipped her cappuccino and devoured her dessert. She then picked up her phone and texted Loren.
"Hi!! City lights ulit tayo later? If you're free. Pls reply"
Because Pia was anxious about Loren's response, she turned off her phone.
"Tinext ko na siya, sana mag-reply. Wala pa naman yun sa bahay niya."
"Oh tanga, ba't mo inoff phone mo paano mo makikita reply niya?"
