My grandma had this very stylish-looking flip phone that she loved almost more than she loved me. One day, we had a function at my grandma's house, and every family member who was close by was invited. Many people attended the function, and the house was crowded. I, being not very outgoing, just wished everyone and left to play with my younger cousin-sister. We played all day, and when the function was over, everyone left. When I returned home, I found everyone searching for something, and my grandpa asked me, "Grandma's phone is missing. Did you see it somewhere?" I replied that I hadn't seen it. They searched for it almost all night, asking me repeatedly if I had seen it because I was the last person to see it. I had taken the phone to my grandma when someone called, but she was busy, so I kept the phone back where it was. They couldn't find it, and it was switched off.The next day, as soon as I came back from school, I found everyone waiting for me outside. I didn't know they were waiting for me. After changing my clothes, they called me to the veranda, and my aunt asked me, "Did you take the phone? Where did you keep it?" I replied, "Ah yes, I took it and kept it back where it was." My aunt further inquired, "Where exactly did you keep it, and why didn't you tell us yesterday?" I responded, "No, I already told you guys about this yesterday and that I kept it on the fridge." My aunt was surprised and said, "What? Are you telling me that you didn't take the phone after that?" I insisted, "Yes, I didn't take it. I didn't even see it after that." My aunt accused me of lying and said that my cousin sister had told them everything. According to her, I had taken the phone to play games and lost it somewhere during the function. My cousin sister, whom I was close to, had supposedly shared this information.I couldn't understand why she would lie about me taking the phone. They kept asking me, repeatedly, to take responsibility for my mistake and stop lying. However, I hadn't done anything wrong, and I had no one to support my side of the story. After 2 or 3 hours, they threatened that the police would come and question me if I didn't admit to the fault. Being afraid of the police, I had no other option but to take the blame upon myself. Everyone believed that I had done it without even considering my perspective. I don't blame them; they trusted my cousin sister's words because she was not a bad girl, and we were close like real siblings. So, I was wrongly accused of a mistake I didn't commit and was emotionally hurt by most of my family members. My father even beat me up with a pipe and threatened to make a mark on my body to remind me of my mistake. Thankfully, my grandma intervened and stopped him from doing any harm.Afterwards, they advised me not to do such things in the future, and that marked the beginning of the aftermath of a robbery I didn't commit. Now, here's a puzzle for you: Who do you think took the phone? Don't expect an answer to this one. Even I don't know who took it. However, I believe that she wouldn't have stolen the phone herself, but she may have been helping someone who did or someone may have misled her. Regardless, she told everyone that she saw me take the phone to play games and didn't listen to her when she told me to put it back.
