Paula - Alexia Putellas

Part 6

Alexia pov

I had been living with Emma and Paula for 3 months now, I was trying to take care of them as well as I knew  because for me they were the most important thing in the world.

Today Emma had a meeting and I was left alone with Paula.

"Paula baby come to mami" I said to the little girl, who didn't want me to dress her and ran away from me.

"No mami" Laughed the little one, so I went over to her and started tickling her "Mami stop".

I finally got her dressed and decided we would go for a walk, so I grabbed her stroller and we went off.

We spent the morning quietly and by noon Emma came home.

"Love I have to tell you something" Emma said to me.

"Tell me love"

"I have a job offer, it means that I'm not going away like now, how do you see it?"

"Where is it?"

"I'll just tell you that we'll see each other three times as often as now" She told me with a smile, I guessed she meant to be Barca's physiotherapist.

"It's to work at Barca isn't it? I'm very happy for you"

"Yes, then I accept?"

"Man I wouldn't hesitate for a second" I said laughing.

"Alright, how was your day with Paula?"

"Very well, I had a hard time dressing her because she wouldn't stop, but everything was fine" I said looking at the little girl who was playing quietly "Why don't we go celebrate at a restaurant?

"I think it's a great idea"

We went to eat at a restaurant that we liked so much, Paula was laughing all the time, she looked very happy and I loved it.

When we finished we went back home, at 7 p.m my team was playing and we decided to go to see it, it would be the first game that Paula would see live, and, although I would have liked her to see me play I also liked to see her excited face.

It was time for the match and we went there, Paula was watching everything flipping out, as soon as the match was over we went down to the field, the girls came to greet me and were playing with Paula for a while, especially Patri and Mapi, who had already proclaimed themselves the favorite aunts, while I was talking to Emma.

"She's been so happy all day" She said looking at Paula "And that's all thanks to you".

"Not that I would do it all love, she adores her mamá" I said laughing.

"Shall we go home? I feel like sleeping" She suggested.

"Sure, are you going to get Paula?" She nodded and went to get Paula, we got the car and headed for home.

Once home we tucked Paula into her bed and she asked us to read her a story.

We read her the story and she laughed every time we put on voices, suddenly she fell asleep and we stayed with Emma watching her, she was so pretty.

"She's so pretty, I think she outweighs you and everything" I said to Emma.

"Hey, I'm very pretty, otherwise you wouldn't have chosen me" She replied laughing "Come on, let's go to bed, I'm about to fall asleep" We did the same and it didn't take us long to fall asleep in each other's arms.

Emma pov

I woke up before Alexia and decided to make her breakfast, then I heard noise in Paula's room and went there, I saw that the little one had woken up and I took her to the kitchen, I gave her some milk and told her to go wake up Alexia.

"Mami wake up" She said stroking her face.

"Princesa, come sleep with me" Alexia replied half asleep.

"No mami, play"

"Vida mia it's too early to play" The little girl pouted and kissed Ale on the face so she would finish waking up.

"Love wake up we have a surprise" I said kissing her.

"Ok, but only if you keep kissing me" Paula and I kept kissing her to which she laughed "Come on come on, what surprise I have?"

"I made you a fantastic breakfast" I told her.

"This is amazing Emma, thank you so much, te amo" She replied to me once she saw the food.

"I love you more."

We sat down to eat and talked about Alexia having the Ballon d'or gala in no time, she told me she wanted us to go with her, I was quite hesitant but she insisted, so next week we would go to Paris, we decided to go a couple of days before the gala so we could enjoy Paris.

When we finished breakfast we went to take Alexia to therapy, she was doing great and in no time she would be playing again, besides the sessions with her physiotherapist I was doing some exercises at home for her and she was evolving very well. Ale always went to see the girls train, after therapy we would all go to see them, since they all wanted to see Paula.

"Little princess, come with your favorite aunts" Patri and Mapi called her, she went little by little to them and they started to play on the floor, then Ingrid and Mariona joined them, they were playing for a long time and then we left as Paula was starting to be tired.

Back at home we left Paula in her bed and Alexia and I stayed up talking.

"My mom told me to come over tomorrow for lunch at her house" Alexia said caressing me.

"Ok, is your sister coming too?"

"I guess so, and I guess she's coming with her new boyfriend."

"I thought she didn't like men" I said quizzical, Alexia had never mentioned to me that her sister had been with any guy.

"She changes her taste every day" She answered me laughing.

"Well let's go to sleep, te amo" I said kissing her goodnight.

"I love you" She gave me another kiss and we fell asleep.

The next day we got up and got ready to go to Alexia's mother's house, when we got there Alba and her new boyfriend had already arrived, what I didn't expect was that Alba's boyfriend was Marco, Paula's "father".

"Ale, I can't" I said almost crying.

"Honey, what's wrong?" she said worriedly.

"Alba's boyfriend" I said as best I could "It's Paula's father" Ale didn't know how to react, she rushed me out of the house.

"It's okay honey, it's okay" She said without leaving me "Nothing is going to happen, you're going to be fine".

"Can we go back inside? I want to try to talk to him" She nodded and gave me a loving kiss, she took me by the hand and led me inside, when I entered there was Alexia's mother playing with Paula while Alba and Marco were talking.

"Marco can we talk?" I said, he nodded and followed me into the garden.

"Emma, I'm sorry for leaving the way I did, but I knew I couldn't make you happy, I wasn't ready to be a father, and I know it wasn't the best way but I thought it was the best decision, now you have rebuilt your life and so have I, I'm so sorry" Marco explained.

"I understand that you weren't ready but you could have talked it over with me, I would have understood perfectly, and at least you could have deigned to ask sometime if your daughter was ok."

"I'm really sorry Emma, at the time I thought it was the best thing to do but I don't think I did anything right, I would like to be present in Paula's life, I'm not saying as her father because it would be too much but I could be her uncle if you let me."

"Fine by me, I see you have changed, but if you hurt me, Paula or Alba again you won't have enough world to run" He just nodded and asked me if he could hug me, I nodded and we melted in a hug, I noticed Alexia's gaze from the glass and I told Marco that we should go inside.

"Emma, how did it go?" Alexia asked me once I reached her.

"Fine, later at home I'll explain everything" I gave her a kiss "Now come on our daughter is waiting for us."
