ZIGGY WAS watching the news about the skull mask killer on her tv, sitting on her couch.

suddenly, startling ziggy, she heard her alarm ringing.

ziggy got up from the couch, stopping her alarm, and went to her table to make her dinner.

ziggy heard her second alarm ringing, she went to her front door, and locked all the locks.

next, ziggy went to the windows and locked them.

ziggy heard her dog, major, constantly barking over and over again, annoying her.

"major!" ziggy warned, as the dog continued to bark. "jesus!"

ziggy started walking over to the next window, and locked it up.

ziggy went up to her dog, and placed the food into the bowl.

"you're an impatient bastard, aren't you?" ziggy insulted the dog.

ziggy walked past her calendar, marking day 5936 today.

-

ziggy was sound asleep on the couch, suddenly, waking her up, she heard knocking, and banging on her door.

ziggy's eyes shot up as she heard someone trying to open the door, and a flashlight outside.

ziggy placed her whimpering dog in the closet, and shut the door, hiding with her eyes shut.

ziggy heard someone coming through the window, and she tackled them to the ground with a yell.

"don't fucking move!" ziggy warned the person.

"wait, wait!" the person shouted to ziggy, who turned out to be deena johnson. "stop, please! please! we called you."

ziggy got flashbacks to the call she got earlier, with the two teens shouting for her help on the phone, begging to know how she survived the attack in '78.

ziggy lowered her knife. "why the hell would you come here?"

-

deena and josh led ziggy out to their car, and opened up the trunk, revealing a growling, possessed sam.

"no!" ziggy shouted. "no, no, no! you need to leave! right now! you have no idea what you are doing!"

ziggy started walking back towards her house, and deena quickly stopped her.

"wait!" deena stopped ziggy. "yeah, exactly. you are the only person who knows what we're dealing with."

"which is why i don't want that thing near me." ziggy shot back. "get that car and it off of my property."

"her name is sam." ziggy spoke. "you could have watched us dead on the six o'clock news, but you didn't. you called us back."

ziggy took a deep sigh, her eyes watering a bit. "i can't help you with this!"

"you are our last chance!" deena reminded her. "the witch-"

"no, i'm sorry." ziggy shook her head, and tried leaving again, but deena stopped her.

"my girlfriend is possessed by her and tied up in a trunk, but you.." deena trailed off. "you saw her and you survived. what was different? please. maybe something happened to you, something can help us stop her."

"there's not!" ziggy cut her off. "you can't stop her. run, far as you can, fast as you can! that is your only chance."

ziggy walked away, towards her house again.

deena turned around, facing ziggy. "look, i can't just run!" deena shouted. "look, sam.. i cant let her die. i won't. i love her. please.."

ziggy took a deep sigh, giving in. "just keep her away from major tom."

ziggy started walking back into the house, leaving deena and josh to tie up sam in the bathroom.

deena cleared her throat, making ziggy turn to them.

josh gave ziggy an awkward smile. "it's completely fine." josh assured. "she's tied up in the bathroom, so she, like, totally can't leave now, we're cool."

they heard sam roaring in the background, her still in the bathroom with the door shut.

josh turned to the closed bathroom door. "yep, cool."

they both turned back to ziggy. "take a seat." ziggy instructed them.

they both sat down on the couch, ziggy across from them on the chair.

ziggy got a book, and started flipping through it.

"in shadyside, the past is never really past."
ziggy began, and she made it to the picture of her and cindy in the book.

"this was july... 12th. the summer of 1978. the first day of camp." ziggy held up the picture. "a week later, my sister was dead."
