Aditya ( Adi as his family calls him) grew up rich and does not understand how some people struggle to make ends meet. His parents gave him a business empire at a young age and supported him in all of his ambitious ventures, helping him become one of the youngest billionaires in India. Although he spends most of his time working or at parties, he always finds time for his family. His sister, brother-in-law, and niece mean the world to him. He is loyal and stubborn. When Aditya wants something he will get it, at the cost of anything or anyone. He also has a bad past. The traumatizing passing of a lover, childhood neglect leaving him with no feelings, and struggles with addiction can make anyone crumble. But one person manages to slowly glue him back together.

Mahika (Mahi) had the opposite childhood as Aditya. Her mother died during the birth of her sister, leaving her with her father who struggled to make ends meet. When he was diagnosed with cancer she was forced to graduate from college early and start work right away. Since then she has become a robot, working, and taking care of her father and sister. She doesn't think she has time for love or anything really. But deep down she has always been a hopeless romantic, waiting for someone to come and take away all her problems.
