Thomas woke up to the smell of a sour scent in the air. He looked to his side and in his blurred vision, saw a trio of tall, black candles; all different sizes. They were all lit.
He tried to wipe some sweat off of his forehead but his hands were zip-tied to the table he was lying face up on.
Two long, confusing minutes later and a man wearing a mask came in and demanded identification.
Using a psychological method, he said, "Well, my drivers license is in a finger print activated compartment, given to us FBI agents. If you can bring my leg up to me, I will open it. It's in my boot."
The man looked somewhat confused, but finally grabbed Thomas's foot and brought it up to his right hand.
Instantly, Thomas kicked his chest and grabbed the 9 millimeter pistol out of his boot. He aimed it to the mans face and said, "Take off the mask."
The man stepped back, grabbed a knife, and looked back at Thomas.
Thomas grinned. "There's a piece of lead in this gun that travels 1,500 feet per second. How fast do you think you can get the blade of that knife into my chest?"
The man went to stab Thomas but he shot the mans leg. The man fell to the ground.
Thomas punched him in his face to knock him out. Instantly, he took of the mans mask.
He was a man who looked like one of the men who bombed the plane.
He went to his pocket and pulled out his wallet which contained 50 dollars cash. There was also a black bandana in his pocket. He tied the bandana around the man's hands and turned on his flashlight.
He found a door and opened it, only to find Carson and several other people in search for him.
