I look around in our new house. For some reason I felt like I was being watched. I shrugged the feeling off and I carried the last of my boxes to my room.

I start pulling stuff out of the boxes and I notice something on my dresser that..wasn't mine. I walked over to it and picked it up. It looked like a mix between a Barbie doll, Slender man, and a rag doll.I walk over to my brother's room, saying he would do stuff like this. I creak open the door and I see him sitting on his bed reading some dumb manga. "Caleb is this your's?" I ask him. He looks up and shakes his head. "No. I have never seen that creepy thing in my life. Just put it in the attic or something".

I get the stairs to the attic down and I climb up. Without looking at any of the other stuff, I set it down out of the way and I make my way back down. I fold the stairs back up and slide them back into place.

"Carla! Caleb! Get down here. Dinner time" I hear my parent's yell and I pause the anime episode I was watching. If you haven't figured out me and my brother love anime/manga. I walk downstairs. "What is for dinner?" I hear Caleb ask. Ugg Caleb and his ' I will eat anything' apatite. "Caleb it's grilled cheese. And it's mostly cause your sister is a picky eater." My mom said to him. I slide into a seat at the dinner table.

"Well, at least it's summer. No more school for at least 3 months." I say, trying to lighten Caleb's mood. Yeah, yeah were brother and sister but so what? Does that not mean I can't be nice to him once in a while?

"Yeah, that means for the both of us though summer jobs, then your birthday party, hmmm what else?" He said, slightly snobby. I could tell he was trying to hold back a smile. I take a bite out of my grilled cheese. "Mom. Did you use fake cheese for mine?" I ask. "Yes." my mom replied.

After dinner, Me and Caleb do the dishes and head back up to our rooms. I slide into some shorts and a tank top, and I sit on my bed reading. I could here my mom starting to fight with dad. Something must have happened, I thought. I quietly walk downstairs and I stare for a minute without interrupting. "What's going on?" I ask. I could see I shouldn't have said that. I looked down and I see a vase in smithereens on the floor.
