I was on my way home from my best friends house Alic we've been best friends  since we where born I pulled up to the driveway and seen we got visitors as I raised my right eyebrow as I got in the house and seen everyone sat in the living room talking and laughing  an attractive boy as I stood there awkwardly smiling

"Oh there she is"the woman said wearing a white tight dress "Um hey guys" I said slightly smiling "take a seat Lina"my dad spoke as I sat down "is something going on in the mafia??" I spoke and looked at my dad "no we've came together to make an arranged marriage" my dad smiled

(A what!!) "what are you talking about" I spoke looking at everyone "you're gonna married to my son next week" the man spoke "what for what he can look for someone else why me?" As I stared at my mom
"It's for the mafia only way"my dad spoke

As I stared at the boy across from me with an worried look I mean he's not ugly but still why would I marry someone I don't love

Sikp later that day....

"Bye Laura see you tmr for dress shopping" she smiled and left as the guard closed the door "what I'm not marrying him" I shouted "you have to listen it's only that no other way" my dad spoke "well you and you're mafia are ruining me this is bullshit" I spoke as I ran to my room

"Fuck all this and you I wish you where dead" I shouted and slammed my door LINA" my dad shouted "I'll go check on her" as my mom said  "Lina open the door" my mom knocked on my door as I stood silent on my bed as my mom gave up knocking on the door and left

Incoming call Aliz

"Hey Alice I spoke with my cracked voice
"Hey are you ok want me to come over?" As she looked concern through the screen "no it's just that that I'm "spill it she spoke" gonna get married next week" as I stared at her "wait wtf like actually how what I'm so lost" Alice spoke

"Alice it's an arranged marriage I'm forced to for the mafia or what ever I'm just stressed out rn" I spoke "oh ok I mean is the guy even fine or what" she said
"He is but why are you gonna marry someone who you don't even love or meet I rather kill myself" I spoke

"Lina don't be sad I truly understand I'll always be here for you no matter what trust me this mafia thing has gotten out of hand and Ik it's wired to marry someone you don't know or have met you're my best friend you can count on me whenever but at least he's not an old man" Alice laughed

"I mean yeah you're right you made me feel better about it but I mean still I'll just see what goes on during all this "I slightly smiled

We both talked for 10 more min n ended the call i soon took a bath and stayed in there it felt like hours just thinking how he was like
