Lightning zings from my reactor, and I cheer as its electric geometry reveals a hidden portal. A near indiscernible shadow outlined by crackling currents. The goal of my life's work. My magnum opus. I jump through, and land on my laboratory floor. I scramble out of my oversized clothes in shock. I didn't go anywhere, but it seems my age did.
