This basically was me writing about a character hearing a loud, deafening sound, which I did as the old fire alarms my elementary used to have (I hope they don't anymore or I'm truly sorry for those kids)

I didn't have much inspiration, so it's short

I was doing my writing in English class when the most terrifying sound I have ever heard sounded. It was a long, screeching sound, like nails on a chalkboard, but 10 times worse. Heck! 100 times worse would describe it better.

The teacher didn't look freaked out, which was startling. Was this normal for her? I hope this doesn't become normal for me. Then I will definitely lose my hearing, and I enjoy listening to the birds chirp, or the sound of singing. Not this obnoxious bird screeching.

It seemed to be getting louder, as if it wasn't loud enough. The teacher was ushering us outside, while all us kids were wondering what was going on. The sound was starting to drive me crazy and if it didn't stop soon, I was definitely going to punch the speaker.

(I did this all on my own, hence why it is short. It seems my study buddy really helps, as you might notice with other chapters. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you at the next short story.

ALSO! Do you want me to put the prompts that I'm given down here to see if you can write anything? I'm more than willing to, plus I would love to see what you all write!)
