Toya and his father were arguing again. In frustration, Toya started tearing up and decided to call Akito. Trying to hide his tears, "Hey, are you busy right now?" Akito picked up "I'm not doing anything right now, what's up?" Hearing Toya's voice breaking a little. "I'm not doing too well, can I come over to your place for a bit?" Toya responded. "Of course, you know where I live."
Toya finally arrives after 5 minutes and rings the door. Ena's dad yells "ENA GET THE DOOR!" "OK!!!!" Ena opens the door and sighs "Akito your friend is here" Akito leans away from the door, letting Toya in. He shows Toya the way to the living room and makes him sit down at the kotatsu. "Hold on, let me get you a glass of water." he said as he walked to the kitchen. Eventually Akito finally came back with a glass of water and pikelets. "Your arrival was quite unexpected so here is some leftovers from breakfast." Toya munches and crunches on the pikelets while talking about what happened between him and his dad. After he's done eating Akito asks "Wanna play some Nintendo games with me?" Toya replies "Sure, that sounds fun"
They both walk upstairs towards Akito's room "Wow your room is actually clean!" Toya exclaims. Akito takes his Nintendo switch out of the case and they both sit on his bed. Akito shows Toya his animal crossing island (Akito's favorite villager is Benjamin) Akito continues to show Toya the numerous games he owns basically flexing on Toya because his dad won't let him play video games. One of the games catches Toya's eye, Splatoon 3. They play for a couple hours and Akito loses every time, little does he know Toya is a hardcore gamer. Akito takes a glance at Toya, he thinks to himself "Has he been this charming?" He blushes a little. He catches himself staring at his partner for too long and brings his attention back to the screen.
Akito is usually good at video games but, he really admired Toya for his courage to stand up to his father. He inspired Akito to follow his dream and to be himself. Toya says "I won again!" while smiling making Akito snap back to reality. "Hey! I thought you were good at video games what happened!?" Akito replies "Sorry, I was a bit distracted. I'll beat you this time!" "Yeah totally" They ended up gaming until the sun goes down. Out of the blue Akito suggests They go on a walk to get some fresh air. They both walk downstairs and run into Ena "Where are you guys going this late?" She asks "I'm taking Toya back home" Akito responds "Okay, make sure to come back home on time" she walked back to her room. Akito and Toya take a stroll and they come upon a convenience store, they decided to get some snacks. They head to a park and sit on the swings. Akito takes the bag from Toya and takes out cold drinks, he hands one to his partner.
Breaking the silence, Akito says "My heart sort of hurts by the thought of you getting a girlfriend, I'd support you and everything, but I just.. I don't know" Toya turns his head towards Akito "Girlfriend? What are you talking about?" Akito responds "Whenever I'm around you my heart starts racing. I've been feeling this way for a long time and I can't stop it. I've been wanting to tell you this but I haven't built up the courage to." There was a short silence then Toya said "If other people were around and heard you saying this, it would cause a misunderstanding.." Toya nervously chuckled and plays it off as a joke "For someone that's so laid back you're being oddly serious. Maybe it's because we hang around each other so much." Akito doesn't respond.
After a brief moment Toya finally utters a word "Hey, Akito do you have feelings for me..?" Akito sighs "Yes- well no? Uh maybe..?" Toya chuckled "Well, it has to be one out of three answers, right?" Akito finally made a serious remark "I've been putting it off for too long. I Think its about time I figured out what these feelings are." Toya responds "How about I found out with you? Let's figure out these feelings together. You have been there for me, now I think it's about time I be there for you." Toya holds Akito's hand and they both watch the sunset.
