Narrator's POV
As summer was coming to an end and another year at Hogwarts was approaching, Y/n Malfoy and her brother Draco Malfoy were both getting ready to go to the Quidditch World Cup. Y/n was getting dressed as her brother knocks on her door, the knock echoing through the quiet and eerie hallway her room is in.
"Hey, are you almost ready, father is waiting for us" Draco asks behind her door
"Yeah hold on I'm just having trouble with this" Y/n says as she opens the door letting her brother in.
"Ugh, why is this thing so hard?!" Y/n says with a grown
Y/n has her hands behind her head trying to put on a necklace, Draco had given her for Christmas. Draco moves over to her with a small smile.
"Do want me to help?" he says motioning to the necklace
Y/n looks at him and nods her head. He walks up to her and gently moves her long Y/h/c hair to the side clipping the necklace.
"There, ready now?" he says
"Yeah let's go" she says grabbing her bag
As they come down the stairs their father, Lucious Malfoy is waiting for them with a scowling look on his face like always.
"Finally you take forever, I was this close to leaving without you" Lucious says sternly grabbing Y/ns arm firmly with one hand, with the other he holds up his thumb and pointer finger to the point that they are almost touching with just a small space in-between.
Y/n Malfoy POV
Draco and I walk down the stairs and as soon as we get to our father he grabs me scolding me like always.
My eyes well up with tears but I hold them in, I can't have him see me in tears.
"I--I-I'm sorry I lost track of t-time" I say trying not to stutter much.
My father lets go and begin to walk away
Draco comes up next to me with a concerned face and holds my hand and we begin walking behind our father.
"Are you okay?" he says to me in a slite whisper so my father won't hear
"Yeah" I squeak out barely loud enough for him to hear.
He looks back at our father with a glare, ever since we were young my father would be the cruelest there could be. But he was extra cruel to me for some insane reason, he would always yell at me and scold me for everything I did, but I soon learned to live with that.
But I think, he also thought that too because one time he was in such a foul mood and I had been outside in our garden and tracked in dirt into the manor, and he lost it. I was 6 the first time he hit me, this is a little harder to get used to. Especially the times he gets extremely angry with me that he does the unthinkable and performs the cruciatus curse on me. I was 8 the first time he did it.

Narrator's POV
Draco to everyone is seen as insufferable, arrogant, annoying, mean, and cold-hearted, (we could go on and on) but to his sister, he is the complete opposite he is loving, caring, gentle, and protective of her. He would do anything for Y/n, she is the only one that sees him without his tough demeanor.
He gets even more protective of her whenever his father would hit her. He would comfort her and try to make her feel better, he would read her stories, watch movies with her, and bring her her favorite snacks. Though he hates his father for always mistreating Y/n he could never confront him because as much as he hates him he also fears that he will do something to him too. If only he knew that his father did something much more painful than just hitting his sister.
As they arrive at the stadium and the whole way up to their seats Draco had been holding Y/ns hand. Y/n still had on the quiet demeanor that she left the manor with. The closer they got to the minister's box invited by the Minister himself they get the sight of a red-headed family along with a black-haired boy; Harry Potter and a caramel brown bushy-haired girl by the name of Hermione Granger.
"Blimey, Dad how far up are we?" The youngest male redhead Ron says
"Well put it this way if it rains, you'll be the first to know" Lucius Malfoy says with Draco and Y/n standing next to him Draco gives a menacing glare at the black-haired boy. Still holding hands with Draco Y/N just glances up at all of them with a blank face she lingers on the bushy-haired girl for a second then looks away.
The father of all the redheads, Arthur just glares along with the other children. The bushy-haired girl sends daggers at Draco but just stares back at Y/n when their eyes meet she sees the Malfoy girl look away.
"Father and we are in The Minister's Box by personal invitation of Cornelius fudge himself" Draco brags and Hermione rolls her eyes
"Don't boast, Draco" Lucius says while hitting Draco in the gut.
"There's no need with these people." He glares up at all of them
As the rest of them were turning to leave the Malfoys, Lucius hooks Harry's jacket with his cane that has the head of a snake, trapping the black-haired boy in place.
"Do enjoy yourself, won't you....while you can" He says ominously
Y/n Malfoy's POV
"Do enjoy yourself, won't you....while you can" I hear my father say ominously to the boy who lived, Harry Potter.
I hadn't ever talked to Harry before unless you count the many quiet "sorry's" and looks of guilt after my brother would mess with him and his friends. But he seems nice, a little awkward but nice.
One of his best friends the redhead Ron. He...well he's Ron a bit annoying at times but ultimately ok though he does get on my nerves more often with all the stuff he says about me and my brother, but Draco always puts him in his place so yeah.
Harry's other best friend is the caramel brown bushy-haired girl Hermione Granger. She is the brightest witch of her age and she stays true to her title though I think that they are missing a part that she is also one of the most beautiful girls I've ever met.
Well partially met like through classes and whatnot, but I've actually never had a one-on-one conversation with her. And it's kinda hard to talk to her when she thinks that I am exactly like Draco and will antagonize her for being a muggle-born. The truth is that unlike my brother I don't care about blood status and that is one of the reasons that my father dislikes me so much.
Hermione did talk to me once in, the first year when we were on the boat ride to Hogwarts and in the great hall talking about how she learned that the ceiling of the great hall was bewitched to look like the night sky in a book called 'Hogwarts: A History'.
Draco shakes me from my thoughts
"Hey, are you okay? You're just staring into nothing" he says concerned
"Yeah I'm fine" I tell him as I put my focus on the match in front of me.
My brother looks at me a bit unconvinced but he thankfully lets it go and continues to watch the match.
