Orian had bolted the second they touched down.

"Hey!"

"Catch me Knockout!"

"Oh so that's how it is~" Knockout chased him alright.

Orian noted that Soundeave hadn't sent them to Jasper, rather to a well forested area. Nearby was Crown lake.

Orian faked a skid and skidded off a cliff side. Knockout transformed last minute in pure shock and peered over the edge.

Orian jumped out the water and pulled him in like Simba. Knockout squabbled until he heard Orian let out peals of laughter. Soon he too let his pride down and laughed.

"You certainly are rowdy! Oh my poor armor is all scratched now.." Orian watched the mech fuss over an invisible scratch. Orian rolled his optics and submerged under water.

He took a minute contemplating all that had happened till now.

Orian Pax wasn't always Orian Pax. Orian Pax was a name given to him by Alpha Trion when the mech bought him.

Let me explain.

When sparks are made from the Allspark, they fly out and into the oil seas, which aren't really seas but rather a massive wilderness notorious for magnetic dust storms that are fatal to any idiotic enough to try and cross it.

Fatal to all except the sparks.

The magnetic storms make perfect conditions for the sparks to build up their own individual sparkling frames, each particle alignijg itself according to instructions passed by electric impulses from the spark's CNA.

Once they are fully formed, it's a blood bath.

Each sparkling has to cross the desert unassisted. About 35% usually make it out with minimal injuries on a rough day. Others lose parts and if they are clever enough, can recycle formed parts of their dead comerades to make it by.

Orian? He had absolutely no memory of the journey, his first memory being the Guildmaster's massive beard.

Legends have it that he breeds scraplets in that beard.

The Guildmaster frowned upon him before bestowing the label 'defected' in bright red across his chassis and kicking him into a back room.

He had blacked out from the kick, only to awaken in the foulest smelling place he had ever known.

A place whose smell he would soon get used to and consider a norm.

He glanced at his newly programmed bio data that had popped up in his HUD.

Name: Oria
Designation: ???
Nativity: Red light District, North.

North. Where in North was never mention in fear that the data would get into the wrong servos.

It was a place where he learned to be careful. He learned how to use others' weaknesses to escape. How to earn his own money without investing anything more than himself.

He had sworn his allegiance to a small group of those he considered family.

Fa, Snek, Well, Dance, Flo, Vega.

They had named themselves. Cover names to keep themselves safe.

They helped each other in times of need, lived together, slept together, ate together, worked together, taught each other, tended to each other..

He wondered where they were.

They were a team, a group, a..a...

A family.
