Meanwhile, in the Departed Realm, the ninja's fallen foes are in council.

Chen sits in a phantom replica of his favorite chair and seems to be presiding over the meeting.  He impatiently taps his button-pressing hand worryingly near his control panel as ghosts slowly begin to float in.  Among them are Kozu and the Stone Army, the Skulkin, Nindroids, Chen's Army, the Anacondrai, and Bansha and the rest of Morro's one-time associates.

Other ghosts are continuously pouring into this more secluded area of the Departed Realm.  Although things shouldn't change here, since the Preeminent was destroyed and the Cursed Realm residents thrown into paradise by default, things have become tense.  And as more evil spirits join the ranks of those who have passed, the worse things have become.  Even the spectral trees are dying in the areas that the ghosts of the wicked frequent.  In these places, everything has wilted and turned a sickly shade of green.

Now the villains are scheming again, causing things to further deteriorate.

Kozu's deep, rough voice rumbles through the amassed throng.  "Who dares summon me?"

Chen's high-pitched, childish tone contrasts greatly with the Stone Warriors'.  "I did!  I called all of you here for two reasons."  He falls silent and nods to Bansha and Soul Archer.  They bow to Chen and disappear.

After a terse few seconds, Cryptor speaks up in his peculiar metallic clang.  "Well, what are those reasons, then?  I don't like having my time wasted."

"You're a ghost.  You have an eternity of time."  Arcturus, the leader of the Anacondrai, interrupts calmly.  Cryptor glares at him.

Chen watches them with evident amusement.  "Now, now!  Play nice."  He chastises them, wagging a hand in playful disapproval.

Arcturus hisses at him.

"There's really no need for that kind of behavior.  What did I ever do to upset you?  I respect you, Arcturus."

"Pah!  The only thing you respect is power and yourself.  And I do not approve of you attempting to  transform your silly henchmen into Anacondrai.  They were only weak little surface dwellers that could barely hold a sword the right way up, let alone have the reputation of a fearsome army of fighters."  Arcturus argues, baring his fangs.

"If that's how you feel."  Chen responds blithely, shrugging his shoulders.  Then, seeing the return of Bansha and Soul Archer with a figure struggling between them, adds.  "You may enjoy this, though."  Chen says, elbowing Arcturus.

"Enjoy what?"  The snake General asks suspiciously, slightly slithering out of the reach of Chen's elbow as he says this.

"You'll see!"  Chen replies with a giddy little bounce, clapping his hands together joyfully.  He then raises his voice.  "Can all of you hear me?"

A murmur of assent ripples through the assembly.

Chen nods his head in satisfaction.  "Good!  Now then, it's time to get down to business.  This will be part one of our meeting.  We will get to deal with this traitor."

Bansha and Soul Archer throw the figure onto the ground.

Chen grins.  "Hello, Morro."

A.N: Ooooh!  Things are starting to pick up already!  Don't you wish you were back on Ninjago Island, where it's peaceful?  (For a change.)  😈
