Alethea pov:
"Oh my god i can't believe school starts tomorrow!"
Right. School.
I swear our break started like a day ago and now it's back to hell. At least it's my last year, right? Just have to stick through it for a couple more months and then I can move on with my life and leave highschool behind me. You'd think that being at a "prestigious" school like Richmont would make things easier. Fuck no. It's ten times worse. The constant anxiety of not having your grades up to standard is suffocating, because anything less than 80% is an immediate fail in my moms eyes.I can't complain all that much though. At least i have a a group of friends to bath in the misery with. Misery lives company right?
I love Sundays like this though. All of us, me, Paige, Lizzy, Hannah and Danielle just lazing around in my room. Now that i meantion Paige, I'm not suprised she's the first one to complain about school.
"Tell me about it. It feel like we were at school like yesterday."
I groan, streching out my limbs, spreading across the bed
"Hey! Watch the head. We're all sharing the bed right now."
I giggle looking down at Danielle. She was laying at the foot of my bed. On her phone, obviously. I swear she never puts that thing down.
"I'm kind of excited to go back."
Lizzy lifts her head up from the book she's been lazer focused on this entire afternoon
"Of course you are, nerd!"
Paige rolls her eyes, sitting upright from where she was laying down next to me.
"The only thing, I'm excited about is giving those Brighton Academy assholes a run for their money. My grades are excellent as always."
Brighton Academy is our biggest rival. Yeah, they're an all boys school and we're an all girls school. We might not compete with sports, but with academics, art and music, the competition is fierce and so stupid if you ask me. It's funny how passionate Paige gets about the whole rivalry thing when her own brother is literally a Brighton jock himself. So i guess it's a little sibling rivalry too.
"You just wanna piss Will off. Like always."
Hannah finally pops up from under the blankets. I have no idea how we haven't smothered her under there yet, but she's small, so makes sense
"And what about it. He's an idiot. I just like reminding him of that every now and then"
We all roll our eyes at Paige
"That's my best friend you're calling an idiot, idiot."
I joke
"Yeah, your best friend, who's dick you suck on the down low"
She whispers into my ear. I pull away, disgusted by the mere thought of doing stuff like that with Will and playfully shove her away
"Shut up! That's disgusting."
She bursts into a fit of giggles. I don't find it very funny.
