Dragon Quest (Fairy Tail)

Chapter 1

"What do you think they're like?" Levy asked Lucy as they walked to Akane Resort. The two had spend two days in Hargeon getting more information on the Dragon Slayers that destroyed the town. Hargeon's mayor didn't have much to tell them seeing as he was out of Hargeon on business at the time and came back as soon as he heard what happened. The girls asked around the town many people talking about how the two walked into town suspiciously asking people about dragons. A fight broke out and that's how the destruction started. The details were vague, people didn't have much to say seeing as they were running in fear most of the time, Hargeon didn't have many wizards in it, and the closest guilds were Lamia Scale and Fairy Tail. The girls asked around the market place last, a few farmers that came into town with supplies told them about how they saw two men and flying cats walking in the direction of Akane Resort.

The lead wasn't much to go on, but they didn't have much of a choice. They couldn't fail Master Makarov.

"What do you mean by that?" Lucy asked the bluenet.

"What do you think the two Dragon Slayers are like?"

"Why are you wondering that Levy-chan? They're just destructive assholes that like to destroy people's homes." Lucy couldn't think of any other way to describe them.

"We don't know that Lu-chan. What if they are like Wendy and are looking for the dragons that took care of them?" Levy tried to reason with with her best friend.

"What if they are like Laxus?"

"Point taken. Just what if they really aren't bad people? I mean the people in Hargeon were talking about how they were asking about Dragons. Don't you think that means something? And the only Dragon Slayers that we know of that have exceeds are like Wendy. Laxus doesn't have one." The two girls looked at each other as they stood outside of the Resort, both had points. Knowing which one was right, was the biggest problem.

"We'll have to figure this out later Levy-chan. For now, let's see what we can find here. Maybe have a small break too, the resort is huge, we don't know how long it's going to take to question people."

"Okay Lu-chan." Little did they know that what they were looking for was right in front of them, literally.

"I don't know if walking around in public is the best idea Natsu." The blue exceed said to his best friend.

"When does Salamander ever have good ideas?" Gajeel asked.

"Hey! I have-" Natsu was cut off by a small boy coming in contact with his. Th same happened with Gajeel. The Dragon Slayers looked down finding two girls in a shocked faze. The girls look scared, and the two boys looked confused. The exceeds were the only ones who were figuring out what was going on, or at least one of them was.
