This took absolutely ages to write because I work mainly at school during free time because of easy access to a keyboard, so this took from Thursday to Monday ;-;

Salvatore's POV
Mother called this morning, which was quite unexpected. I rarely get calls. She said that she had something to give to me, and to meet her at her lab. Of course, I felt very excited! No one has given something to me, let alone Mother! I started towards her lab, humming whatever tune came to mind. It was very cold, gentle snowflakes brushing across my face as they danced in the wind. I didn't mind it much, it was soft and felt nice. My eyes wandered to the trees bordering the trail, studying the branches kept me entertained until I reached Mother's lab. Shuffling up to the door, I took the door knocker and knocked. Soon enough, the door opened, and Mother appeared in front of me.
"Hello, my child." she greeted, stepping aside to let me in.
"H-Hello, Mother." We started down the hallway, as she began talking.
"You've been doing good recently, Salvatore. I've prepared a gift for you."
A gift?! My stomach churned with happiness, a real gift from Mother!
"Really?" Mother nodded as we entered the containment room. She disappeared into a door for a moment. Mother returned with a woman. She was strikingly beautiful.
She had long black curls that compared with the night sky. Her greenish, freckled olive skin almost glowed under the dim lighting. She had high cheekbones, a hooked nose, and eyebrows with a soft arch. Her eyes were milky and green, and the skin around them was darker, like she doesn't sleep well. She wore a dark green dress with yellow gloves and a darker green cloak decorated with a yellow bow. What took me by surprise was that she had vines and flowers growing out of her eyes and on her face and limbs. I couldn't grasp that she was for me.
"Th-This is... for me...?" I croaked, the mere sight of my gift making me nervous.
"Yes, her name is Eliska."
Eliska. What a wonderful name...
"She's blind, she has no use to me or my Eva." Mother motioned for Eliska to step forward, tapping her back slightly "I was going to dispose of her but I feel she'd be a good fit for you." Eliska's face paled for a minute. She moved slightly closer, then curtseyed, bowing her head.
"It is a pleasure and honor to finally meet you, Lord Moreau." She spoke in a strong Czech accent. I was taken aback, quite frankly. She was formal, and polite. She spoke to me with a smile.
"You..You too." My thoughts raced. She seemed to hold me in high regard. I may be a lord but other villagers barely seemed to notice me, or thought me a monster.
"Off you are then." Mother ushered Eliska and I out.
We stepped out, the cold nipping at my face. Eliska took my arm, wrapping both of her hands around it. "Pardon me, my lord, I require guidance." My face burned, nearly beating the cold out of it.
"Oh, o-of course."
How embarrassing, to be so nervous around a girl I've just met.
I felt lucky that she couldn't see me.
We started towards my reservoir, keeping a leisurely pace. I looked down for a moment, noticing vines and flowers trailing behind Eliska. I stopped and stared. It was... Pretty. Very pretty.
She grew many flowers, some native to Romania, but others that looked foreign. They were mostly purple and red flowers, some yellow, and others orange. It was like a little rainbow followed her wherever she went.
