"You know, that Silver isn't what I thought she would be," Kasey said when they returned. "Does this mean you change your mind about her?" Kristopher asked. Although the girl he met first wasn't the real Silver. "I still don't want to be forced to marry... but I wouldn't mind marrying her," Kasey said. Just great, Kristopher's wolf muttered in his mind. Kristopher shook it off, we are not mates so let it go. Kristopher snapped, his wolf whined and went quiet. "Her wolf is pretty too, she named her wolf Onyx." Kasey said with thought as he laid on the couch in front of Kristopher's desk. "Well, you will have plenty of time together." Kristopher said. He could hear his wolf's cries but he had to ignore them. "Am I thrilled? No" Kasey groaned. Kristopher wasn't too thrilled either, having his mate marry his brother wasn't exactly easy. Kristopher mentally shook his head; no he couldn't think like that. He rejected Silver as his mate so he shouldn't be feeling like this. You might have rejected her but I have not. His wolf snapped at him, "shut up" Kristopher snapped out loud. Kasey looked at him with wonder. "I didn't say anything," he said. "Look, I need to sort through some important paperwork if you don't mind," Kristopher snapped, trying to play it cool. He pointed to the door, "okay fine" Kasey said standing to his feet "I need a few drinks... and maybe a little more before I am off the market for good" Kasey said casually as he went out the door.

Kristopher flopped down in his chair and rubbed the bridge of his nose, you should stop this madness! Just tell the Moons that you have changed your mind and you will marry her. His wolf snapped "no damn it" Kristopher snapped out loud.

"So your mate is actually Kasey's brother... who is the one trying to marry the two of you" Sally said with disbelief as Silver caught up with Sally on what she missed last night. "How do you feel?" Sally asked, "my wolf seems to want to be with Kristopher... or Kristopher's wolf.. But he is the one that put us in this predicament in the first place" Silver said angrily. "You're not saying that you don't want to be with him" Sally pointed out. Silver folded her arms over her chest "well to make it clear. I don't want to be with him. Besides, we already rejected each other" Silver said. She felt a sting in her heart, she had to ignore it. "But don't you have to do that in front of the packs to make the rejection official?" Sally asked, "no one needs to know about Kristopher and I being fated mates" Silver insisted. "What are you going to do about his brother?" "He is nice but I don't have a connection with him," Silver said. "I am glad I don't have to deal with any of this" Sally said, although part of her envied her friend for being able to be close to Kasey. Silver inhaled and exhaled in defeat, there was no way she could get out of this now. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place. 

You have to reconsider! Kristopher's wolf howled at him. Kristopher slammed his pen on the desk in frustration. I will not... Kristopher snapped, you rejecting her doesn't count if it isn't in front of both of our packs! You know that. Whether you like it or not she is still our mate. Kristopher thought about this carefully. It was true, he knew that his wolf was right. However they couldn't possibly take this issue to the packs and create even more trouble. It was best if they kept this to themselves... plain and simple.

Silver practiced in the training area of their pack's lands. "You will be married soon Silver, why do you need to train?" her trainer by the name of Due, "I need to learn how to train with the power of my wolf now" Silver said. She ignored the part where Due said she was getting married. Due gave a teasing look "alrighty then. Come at me using your wolf;'s strength" Due said. Silver's eyes glowed gold as she charged towards Due. Due held her ground using her own wolf's strength to guard and dodge her moves. "Use your advanced senses to your advantage" Due said, with great power Silver was knocked to the ground. "Oww" she moaned in pain. "Your wolf senses are like a shield. Remember attacking is important but defense is equally as important" Due said, she helped her to her feet. "I understand now," she said. Before they were about to spar again they heard Silver's mom call out to them. "Silver!" she called out rushing towards them. Due bowed and backed away. "Why do you look so happy?" Silver asked, "oh! Kristopher just had the most wonderful idea" Silver's heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name. It was his dumb ideas that got him into mess in the first place; Silver thought bitterly. "So what 'bright idea' did he come up with this time?" she snapped, "he wants you to stay over in their pack for a while. To get you accustomed to their ways and whatnot! Also to get you and Kasey to grow closer." she beamed excitingly. "I'd rather die" Silver muttered. Her mother's eyes narrowed in frustration "this will be exciting for you. He is already sending a car over and the betas are already packing your items" she said. Did she really have no say over her life right now? Silver thought, but the thought of spending more time with Kristopher eased her frustrations. "Fine, only on one condition... Sally gets to come along" her mom frowned and Silver gave her best puppy dog eyes. She sighed and gave a slow nod "fine... you have a deal" Silver hurried to the main house to go tell Sally.

"WHAT!?" Sally exclaimed jumping up in shock "you have to come with me to the Dusk pack's mansion" Silver said. Sally paced back and forth, could she really go? "I...I don't think this is a good idea" Sally said with a shake of her head. Silver looked at her with question "why not!? I already made you coming a requirement for me to go!" Silver cried, she stood up, walked to her, and took her hands in hers. "You are my pillar in all of this... I need you to come with me" Silver begged. Sally sighed how could she say no to that? "I guess I will pack a bag or two" she said. Besides maybe Kasey could see the real her. Silver grabbed her in a hug and held her tightly.
