'because I love you.." was written on a singular paper that had clear evidence of the time when i scrunched the note in my bare hands and planted it in the bin absent-minded.. I scoff at those letters that would form a quite pleasant statement if it weren't from a man I despise. I'd much prefer the words to be shared in front of my face despite whom it was from, so my dismal expression would be the only answer I need and he would get the implied message (i hope) although it's very known that men are not the brightest in the toolbox.
Nate wasn't the man I needed nor wanted in my life. He was always there in the back of mind gathering dust, clearly never in the front of it. He was a boy whose bones never did fit his skin like a glove, which made his figure slender and bony at first glance yet he made the whole 'problem' work. His hair was mostly just hazel scruff, shadowing half his face in locks. Something about a hidden complexion really made teen girls' heart beat faster added into a bowl of hormones, made them go into cardiac arrest. I remember thinking, he didn't look half bad but I still hadn't seen his eyebrows. 'YOLO' fits the description of his personality perfectly, he was always the one too call the friend who was scared to go on the rollercoaster a wimp and thought he was being helpful. How he would say 'I love you' to a fine display of polar opposite.
..I'd never know.
His eyes in class would wonder over the room like he hadn't been there for almost a year already and somehow his gaze would always fall onto me...
Maybe it was sort of obvious the little boy I always found annoying loved me?
