Imagine that you were Dmitry's childhood friend from the palace.

"She's a knyazhna," Dmitry whispered to you, watching the dancing girl and the dog together with you and Vladimir.

You narrowed your eyes and looked at her appraisingly.

"I don't think it's her. Do you think the Empress won't understand that it's not her granddaughter? She has already seen so many of them that now she may not want to accept you," you clarified with Dmitry.

He silently pointed you to the mural behind Anya, you thought only for a couple of moments, mentally comparing the two girls and nodded.

"Maybe everything will work out," you shrugged and called out to the girl, "Anya! So how old do you say you are?"

"Eighteen," she smiled, and you mentally noted that she was also ideally suited for age, "at the age of eight I was found at the train station and I grew up in an orphanage.

You and Dmitry exchanged glances. This was consistent with the words of Maria Feodorovna herself.

"And even if it's not the real Anastasia, the Empress will immediately understand it and won't even talk to us," Vladimir said quietly.

"What's his name?" you turned to the girl, pointing to the dog that was spinning under your feet.

"It's Pooka," she smiled, stroking his head.

You all went to the train station to buy train tickets and go to Paris to the Dowager Empress Maria Feodorovna, the grandmother of Princess Anastasia, who was looking for her, being sure that her granddaughter was alive.

During the trip, Dmitry and Anya had a big fight, and then you had to move from the compartment to the luggage compartment because your documents did not meet the new requirements. And then for some reason your car detached itself from the restaurant car and the locomotive was disabled. The brake jammed and Vladimir, trying to turn it, accidentally tore it off. The rails in front of your car just exploded and you tried your best to slow down.

"Remind me to say "thank you" to her after," Dmitry muttered with displeasure when Anya helped him with the chain.

You jumped out of the train and went by ship to Paris to Vladimir's friend, Sophie, who was the second cousin of the Empress.

That night, Anya fell fast asleep and almost jumped overboard. She was having a nightmare. Fortunately, Pooka managed to wake Dmitry up with his barking and he managed to stop Anya from taking a mad step into the raging sea.

You arrived in Paris and went straight to Sophie. She also warned you that the Empress does not want to see anyone else, because her heart will not stand another "granddaughter" anymore.

"You must have gone completely crazy," you shook your head after listening to Dmitry's plan to meet the Empress and Anya.

"Impudence is the second happiness," he smiled completely like a cat, taking the music box from Anya's things.

In the end, Dmitry nevertheless put his crazy plan into action and the empress found herself near the house where Anya was staying. Maria Fyodorovna agreed to meet with Anya only because she saw a box that she had given to her real granddaughter a long time ago. But she was lost during the escape from the palace and could not have been with him in any way...
