Chapter 2

Aether's P.O.V. (It's gonna be Aether's P.O.V. for the rest of the story. Well maybe)

Me and Emo were in my room talking. I was talking about human stuff and the surface world. Emo was trying to change the subject. "What do you think human princes are like?" I asked. "Is that Sea Predators volume 12? I've been looking for this. I've been wanting to read it," Emo said. I turned to him with an 'answer the question' look. "Maybe like you but the other way around. Instead of being obsessed with humans they're obsessed with us. And collect things from the sea," Emo said. I bit my lip thinking about it. "Ae what are you thinking?" Emo asked. "Nothing but have you ever wondered what it's like up there? On land I mean," I said. "Nope never. Why would I? The sea is the place to be," Emo said. I laid on my bed looking at the ceiling. Wondering what the land above was like. Emo sighed. "Look I know a guy who might be able to help you out," Emo said. "Really?" I asked. "Yes but you can't tell anybody about him. If you do. He will LITERALLY turn you into a living shish-kabob," Emo said. "Understood understood," I said. "Okay follow me," Emo said swimming out the window.

Me and Emo swam down to the Trench of Forgotten Memories. "Why are we here?" I asked. "This is the most isolated part of this ocean. The perfect living place for my friend," Emo said. Emo swam into the trench and I followed.

We swam down until we came to a crystal cave. Me and Emo swam into the cave and came to a chamber that had a crystal pillar in the center. On the pillar was a clam shell. Emo swam up to the clam and knocked on it. The clam opened and a merman with a light green tail appeared in a magical cloud. "Emo. It's been a while," The merman said. "Hi Matrix I've missed you bestie," Emo said hugging Matrix I guess. "Matrix remember on my last visit I said that the king and queen died and their twin children took over?" Emo asked. "Yes. Why?" Matrix said. "This is one of the twins. Aether. The younger twin and prince of the sea," Emo said. "Greetings Aether. I am Matrix Armageddon. The only FAIR Sea Sorcerer in the ocean. I grant wishes and ask for only what the spell entails. Never anything more," Matrix said. "You can really grant wishes?" I asked. "Of course. What is it you wish?" Matrix said. "I want to know what the world above the sea is like. I...............I want to be human," I said. "Is this truly what you wish your highness? All magic comes with a price and this spell comes with quite a hefty one," Matrix said. "I'll pay whatever the price is just please grant my wish," I said. "Well then the price to pay for this spell....is your voice," Matrix said. "Excuse me?! I never read anything about this!" Emo exclaimed. "Emo please," I pleaded. "Alright," Emo said. Matrix stuck out his hand and I shook it. My voice left my mouth in a stream of golden light. I was enveloped in light green light and my tail split into the two things that humans use.
