Silence fell upon the whole apartment. The apartment they have been living in for one year and a half now. The only thing that could be heard was someone typing on his laptop. Kurt was on the couch searching for work-related stuff while Jeff took a nap next to him. Him and Nick, his boyfriend, have been friends with Kurt since high school. They met when Nick and Jeff passed by Burt’s (Kurt’s father) tire shop because the short one accidentally scratched his dad’s car on a date with his soon-to-be boyfriend, who two weeks later accepted to be his boyfriend. Burt was talking with Nick in the shop when Jeff was looking around and noticed a boy with fashionable clothes and decided to compliment his outfit. Once the driver was finished, he was looking for his guy and then he found him talking endlessly with another boy who then learned that his name was Kurt about the importance of shoes in a good outfit and what colours not to put together. On that day they decided to exchange numbers and fastly enough became inseparable. They went to different high schools but as soon as they all graduated they moved to New York. Kurt had big hopes and dreams and the couple only decided to move there to make him some company and maybe open a bakery together. However only one dream of theirs came true, Nick and Jeff’s.
Knock…knock…knock…too peaceful to be true.
Jeff lifted his head up and rubbed one eye, still very sleepy. Kurt just got up,groaning. Nick must have forgotten his keys…again…once he reached the door he looked through the peephole and it was in fact Nick,he opened it and was ready to do a whole speech about responsibilities and what would he do if no one was at home but the dark haired boy spat fastly. “Before you say anything,Kurt. I might have just got us something to do tonight.”
“What are you thinking about, sweetie?” Jeff asked curiously and once his boyfriend looked at him,he smiled. He looked adorable with his “I just woke up” hair and his sleepy voice.
“Wait tonight? As in staying at home, right?” Kurt asked, doubtfully. Nick walked to Jeff and placed a little kiss on the man’s lips and then smirked at Kurt. “Nick Duval, what were you thinking?”
“I found this really nice pub downtown!” Nick replied while Jeff just hugged him.
“Oh no. No…nonononono…No!” Kurt exclaimed.
“What’s the matter,Kurtie?” Jeff asked.
“You guys know very well that I would rather stay here with you than go out and drink or whatever!” The blue eyed boy really liked their nights at home and he, as an introvert, could not stand the idea of being in places with loud people and random guys or even girls hitting on him every five minutes.
“Since you became a model you just get out of the house when you have a meeting or a session.” Nick pointed out. “You need to have fun out there and meet people…and maybe even a guy.”
“I thought that you and Elliot had something going on.” The blond one asked, confused.
“Just because we’re both gay and men doesn’t mean we have something going on. We’re friends.” Kurt defended. “...were.” The couple tilted their heads in confusion. However Kurt didn’t want to talk about it. “You know what? You’re right,Nick! Let’s go.”
Both men in front of him high fived in victory and quickly walked towards their bedroom and Jeff was already rambling about what to wear. But before they turned the corridor, Nick turned to Kurt and said. “By the way,it’s a gay bar.” followed by a wink.
