"As you can see, Our First Place hero, Aegis still has the lead. A rather big one actually. Whilst those who’re still yet to catch up to him are just now approaching our first obstacle. We have in the middle is a fight amongst each other right now, while those in rear are having a hard time catching up. BUT! Most of the heroes haven't even reached 1/3 of the race so stay tuned for more surprises!" Blue Viper snickered and flicked his finger to reveal the camera switching to the people in 2nd-4th places.
Trinity who has great flight skills and evasion prowess has been able to dodge the attacks coming from both Asher and Trent. They're now more focused on catching up to her rather than stopping each other. Now, as the 3 of them approach the first obstacle course.
The trees, vines, and branches hanging around the supposed race track, obviously they can't go around it for they will get electrocuted and just slowed down. Trinity went in first as she was ahead. Unbeknownst to her the whole obstacle was a monster and even if she was able to dodge and evade some of the vines, it eventually ganged up on her and captured her. Though a 4th-Class monster, a Tree-hugger is actually one of the kindest monsters for , true to its name; It only actually hugs you. Most villains use this monster to slow down heroes especially those who don't have their guards up, in this case, Trinity paid the price.
Next to attempt the obstacle was the 2 following next to her.
Trent put out his flames when he saw Trinity trapped inside the obstacle. He then switches from his flames to plasma, and flew faster than before. As his whole body was covered in plasma the vines that tried to touch it were disintegrated instead of being set ablaze. The plasma didn’t spread like fire and rather boosted him quickly, passing the obstacle in mere seconds. He removed the plasma form for his flames to use once more.

Trent: You must be wondering why I switched off the flames? Well since it's quite obvious already, I don't mind telling you one of my weaknesses. Just gives me an advantage to plan for myself in the future. See, I'm like a battery. My flame comes from inside me not from the outside, so if I ran out of juice, well it's bye bye for me. Flame form is basically battery saver mode for me. Though Plasma mode is my most powerful mode, I can't use it all the time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Asher on the other hand slowed down when she entered the obstacle. She had to focus less on moving fast and more into her cyclone mode. Luckily enough their was pathway made for her because of Trent, but the vines regenerated faster than she could caught up. So she turned into a tornado, and quickly whooshed through the first obstacle. Although still quite a bit later than Trent. And Trinity who was still "hugged" in the obstacle as the moment’s passed.
The ones placed mid have already caught up to her, those being Diana, Keith, Aliyah, and Tina. Diana seeing the obstacle ceases blocking the other heroes, and immediately started freezing the vines to slacken a bit. She pushed forward with her blizzard, going in a strong and steady pace. Although it’s highly doubtful she’ll catch up to the others.
Keith like Trinity was instantly snatched by those vines, but unlike Trinity who was totally immobilized. Keith powered through and kept on running, the weight on his shoulders was immense, yet he still tried to fought it, breaking the vine whips itself. Slowly but surely.

Keith: God those vines were annoying, I have to use brute force to get lose from those shitty vines!

Aliyah on the other hand sacrificed her clones to evade and rush out of the vines. Every time she gets caught and trapped by those vines, she phases out and moves to a clone of herself. She repeats this cycle. Then Diana and her escapes the obstacle in a few minutes. Diana continuing her relentless attack on Aliyah with her ice as she moves ahead once more.

Aliyah: God I hate that bitch, her powers are so infuriating!

The camera pans back to the front of the group with Liam passing through the 2nd checkpoint.
/First Stage: Mountain Top. Checkpoint-2 1st to reach: Aegis Flints(Liam Anders)/
Liam passed the 2nd check point and the scenery changes, from forestries to the dry savannas. It was scorching hot in this area. Liam used barriers to cover himself from the heat. The camera then panned back to Blue Viper.
"It seems our first placer, Aegis has finally reached the 2/3 of the stages. The Surreal Middle! An ever changing area of Hot and Cold! -Is it hot in here or is it just me? We will never know!” Blue Viper laughs out loud and the camera pans back to show Trent catching up to Liam.
"It seems the 2nd Placer, Proto has finally caught up to Liam! What sort of plan will he come up with?" The cameras panned back to Trent and Liam. Trent is going faster with his flight whilst Liam is covering Trent's pathways with barriers. He tries to slow Trent down but he easily evades his attempts.

Trent: Can't stop the Proto-Coal! Oh right! ┏(＾0＾)┛

Trent continues evading Liam’s attempts but were just too easy for him to dodge. With the barriers starting to slow down on appearance. Trent smirked
"Eyo dude. What, you can't keep up with the Proto-Coal?" Trent looked back and saw that Liam was getting affected by the heat. He went from leaping barrier to barrier, into barely even walking. He looks very dehydrated and was about to pass out.
"Dude you good?" Trent shouted but Liam didn't respond. Trent contemplated a bit but went down to Liam.

Trent: now I know it's very "cliché" and all that sh*t, but I couldn't just "not" help him you know?

Trent carried Liam on his back and proceeded on his flight onwards. He hurried up as thinking that Liam was incredibly exhausted. The cameras switched back to Blue Viper.
“Well isn’t that a cute display of heroism?” Blue Viper smiled. “Unfortunately folks, we’ll have to cutaway to our commercials! But before we say goodbye, let’s see our latest placement updates for the Race down Witch Mountain!”
