"He has Appendicitis, so we'll need to perform a surgery right away. It's a good thing you brought him in. A week more and it would have been deadly."

Jisung's eyes widened.

So,

He could have died?

"Jisung, can you put this on, please." A lady nurse smiled at him, handing him a hospital gown. "You're going to feel better in no time, okay? You're just going to get an operation. You're brave, Jisung, most people would have come in right away for the pain you felt."

Jisung put on the hospital gown, waiting quietly for the next step. His parents encouraged him that it would all be fine soon. A nurse came in, handing Jisung a small cup with a pink liquid.

"Drink this, Jisung. You're going to be a little drowsy and you can take a nap while we do our job." She smiled.

Jisung didn't know what was going on, but he wanted the pain to go away. He drank all of the liquid, lying back like the nurse told him to. His parents looked down at him. Soon, Jisung started laughing.

"What's so funny, Ji?" Jaemin smiled.

"You both have four eyes." Jisung laughed. The parents laughed along with him.

That was the last thing Jisung remembered before he woke up again on a hospital bed.

He spent a week there, during which he would get visits from people. Grandma Byeol and Grandma Aera were there every night. Jaemin was there as much as he could, but would leave every once in a while to check up on the restaurant. Jeno would come for a while after work everyday, trying his best to bring Jisung small treats he would enjoy.

"Guess who's here?!" A loud voice came from the door.

"Uncle Hyuck!" Jisung smiled.

"Yup, but I brought my band with me." He smiled smugly, opening the door for Mark and Sofia, a young girl the two had recently adopted. She had a Korean name as well, but she chose to use her English name more often, once finding out one of her parents went by their English name. The line of people didn't stop there though, Yukhei walked in,

"Hey, little Lee." He said, first bumping Jisung on his hand that didn't have a needle poking through it. Renjun walked in next and was holding the hand of a small Chenle who was wearing sunglasses, but immediately pulled them off when he walked in. He let of of his dad's hand, rushing over to Jisung.

"Dad said you almost died." He said, looking suddenly pale. Jisung laughed awkwardly. He didn't really know what to say to that. Him and Chenle hadn't talked in months, and he did not expect him to suddenly appear and say that.

"Chenle." Renjun frowned at him.

"It's just so cool dad!"

"He was in a lot of pain, Chenle." Renjun said sternly, but in a language no one but their family understood.

"But you're okay, Jisung?" Chenle turned to him, smiling. Jisung felt his face heat up from the attention of everyone's eyes on him.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It still hurts, but I'm better."

"Look, I brought you a Chuán." Chenle said, handing Jisung a small wooden toy boat.

"Chuán?" Jisung repeated shyly.

"Yeah, I forgot how to say Korean...Dad told me, but I forgot." Chenle hit his head lightly.

Jisung laughed and told him the Korean word for it, knowing Chenle always did that. It was honestly cool that Chenle even knew some Korean. He was pretty much almost trilingual, learning some Cantonese from Lucas, Mandarin from both, but mainly Renjun, and Korean from mainly Renjun as well. He spoke different languages to different parents. Jisung wondered how he didn't get confused. Jisung sure got confused when Chenle would speak sometimes.
