Chapter 1 - A Quiet Start

   As dark and dreary as it was, Todd still had a job to do. Apparently it was missing persons week and he had to write a report about it. God he wish he was home right now, it creeped him out just by being here. Little children and young teens all walking together waryly watching him as he stood alone. Nope he should defently not be here.
   The first was little Jess, eight years old, she was taken. This, where he was standing, was right were she was taken. The cameras saw the whole thing. The bright sunny day, the spunky kids skipping down the street, the happy old couple heading to the park. It was all perfect, a utopia of days. To good to be true, and like all utopias they aren't as good as they seem. A scrawny young man came up, walking fast, and just reached out and grabed the girl. Then, just as quickly as he entered he left with the girl in tow.
   Who is the man? Why did he take the girl? Where did he and Jess go?
   After the first kidnapping there were two more in the same spot by different men and three more elsewhere with the same scrawny figure. Detective Rosé is quite agitated about it, a whole month of kids disappearing without any trace. Yeah no wonder he finally let the Deso City News take care of these kidnappings, only hoping that someone would find something more than the stale case already offered.
"Mrow?"
"Mits! What are you doing here?"
   Whats the time? Oh. Shit. Todd starts to walk around towards the empty building rubbing his eyes. He needs to keep going, not knowing if he's going to be in trouble or not. Trespassing is not a legal thing to do Todd. Come on Todd climb the big fence, just climb it, you know you have to. Todd finally gathered enough courage to climb--
"Mrow?"
"asshole"
   Reaching the otherside Todd decides the cat needs to stop being smug.
"Where the hell did you get in? You are no fun." Spoting the gate Todd sighs, no way he just missed it. Well get going Todd there's much to do before it gets dark. *Creeeeak* What was that! It's a door. Todd goes to see what happen. The door seems pretty light, maybe it was left open by accident? Grabbing his bag and checking back on the cat, he goes in.
