Proposing the Love of your life

Writer's POV:
You would probably never know what's waiting for you. Life is so unpredictable. You've been single for years... Since you and Paul almost became friends. But you always had feelings for him. You knew it how much you love him.. how much he means to you... But you never felt the thing that Paul feels the same way. But anyway you feel blessed to have him in your life.. even as a friend. You knew about his complicated love life but you never interfered because you always wanted to give him that space and actually you never wanted to lose him as a friend. But Paul wasn't letting you suppress your feelings for him. He trusts you... He believes you're always there for him no matter what.. whenever he was alone you were the one who always stayed beside him...
One day.. you had a phone call from him and he told you to meet him...

Reader's POV -
You recieved the call
Paul- Hey!! ( His voice was a bit heavy)
You- Hey Paul.. how are you.. long time no see..
Paul- yeah I've been busy for a while.. I bit depressed and exhausted too...
You- oh what happened... Are you okay..?
Paul- ahh absolutely fine.. don't worry... Are you free today? Can you come to my place?
Me- ahh ofcourse Love!! Anytime...

Paul opens the door and gives you a warm hug..
You- Hey Pauly... I missed you
Paul-  I missed you too..

Paul takes you to his drawing room and ofcourse it wasn't the first time you were visiting his place.
Paul- you wanna have some coffee? Or ..
You- Bourbon!! Hah I know we both love Bourbon
Paul - aaahhh that's my gurl !!
(Says sarcastically)
You- you're in a good mood... Then you were sounding a bit low when you called me?
Paul - I was feeling alone.. I wish Gregory could talk to me.. he does actually but I don't understand..
You- you two are so adorable!

Writer's POV - Deep down you knew how much you love Paul and how much he needed you at that moment. You guys have been friends for years and you never told him that you're in love with him as you always hesitated but that day you decided to tell him about your feelings. Though you had enough reasons for that day.

Reader's POV -
Paul sits right beside you on the sofa holding a glass of Bourbon in his hand. He was staring at you in a weird way.. you never saw him looking at you like that. A "just friend" never looks at someone in that way. He keep his hand on your thighs and randomly keep staring at you

You- Paul... You okay?
Paul- yes .. yeah (chuckles)
You- you know I have something to tell you but I don't know how to start..
( Paul keeps his hand around your shoulder and looks at your eyes even more intensely)
Paul- tell me y/n.. are you hesitating? Seriously? C'mon we're buddies..
(He lightly slaps your back)
You- ahh that's the issue actually.. we're buddies..
Paul- ( frowns at your) what? What do you mean?

(You close your eyes for few seconds because you knew what you're gonna do)
You- but I Love you Paul .. I Love you so much...
Paul - (laughs) ohh that was simple I love myself too .. so much..
You - Paul I'm serious.. it's been years I hesitated to tell you that I love you ... So freaking much.. and you are my everything.. I was scared to lose you as my friend but I just can't deal with this anymore... I Love you Paul!

Paul stares at you for few seconds and comes closer as he was sitting just beside you... Your heart was beating in a rapid rate..
Your and Paul's lips had probably 1 inch gap.. and at that moment all you wanted to kiss him hard...
Paul said nothing but finally kissed you.. you immediately kiss him back even more intensely.. tears were running down your cheeks which you didn't even realise.
Paul - why didn't you tell me this before?
You - because I was always scared to lose you..
Paul hugged you and kissed you again...
Paul - probably you were the one I always needed but I never realised. But now I do ... I need you Y/N... And not just as a friend.
You caressed his pretty face and kissed his forehead..
You- my baby... I love you so much Pauly... I was so stupid for not telling you how I feel about you..
Paul - and probably I am a bigger stupid that I never noticed why you care the most about me.. why you always stand beside me whenever I need you..

Paul- make me shut up mommy!
