Third Person POV

It was Max's birthday. El didn't know what to give her as a gift. In the end she didn't have one.

El's POV

It was Max her birthday. Lucas, Mike, Will, Dustin, Max and me met in the park for her birthday everybody brought expensive presents. Everybody gave her the presents but not me I didn't give her my present because I didn't have one."Hey El it's your turn to give your present to Max!" Will said to me smiling. Max looked pretty happy when she heard I got a present for her."Oh uh.. I forgot it at uh.. Home" I stuttered. "But you said you had it with you?" Lucas said with a questioned face. I decided to say nothing. I just wanted to go home and cry. I am a bad friend a really Bad friend. A tear started going down my face. "El!.." Max said coming closer to hug me."It's okay if you don't have a present I don't care about that. I am happy that you are here okay?" Max whispered in my ear."I-I'm sorry Max.." I whispered back. I asked if I could go home, they all agreed so I went home but Max came with me. We arrived at my house. When she was about to go i started to say something."I'm sorry Max I didn't got you a present.. I know I am a bad friend.." I said while I started crying again infront of the door.

Max's POV

She started crying infront of me again. I didn't think she was a bad friend at all I didn't care about the present. I care about her. I loved El from the day I met her. So I don't care if she doesn't has a present for me. Her existence is a present."El.. Can I come in with you?" I asked her. She was kind of getting red it was cute. After a while she said yes and let me in. I sat down on her bed I looked over to her she stared me in my eyes already. I blushed at that feeling."I'm sorry again" She cutely said getting closer."El.. I don't care about the present. I care about you. Only you okay?" I said to her smiling. She instantly hugged me and pushed her head in my neck. She then mumbled something I couldn't hear."What did you say?" I asked nicely. She looked up to me being only a few inches away from my face. "I love you Max." She said it straight in my face. I was in shock but the only thing I could do was to kiss her on the lips. She kissed me back after a while we both pulled away breathing for air. "I love you to El" I whispered to her almost crying out of happiness. She then asked me if I could stay the night with her. I said yes and informated the boys they said we would celebrate my birthday next weekend. It was really late now me and El have watched a few films and now we both are tired."Can we go to sleep Maxie?" She asked me. I got a little red at that nickname but said yes to her question. She then hugged me tightly and fell asleep. And a little later I fell asleep to.
