I woke
up bright and early the next day so I could put on some of the makeup my aunt had given to as a present.I ended up hating it and wiping it all off. So I tried to do something with my hair , like curling it but I just ended up putting it in a ponytail.
Today was just not my day.
Throughout the day I kept thinking of what my friends had said and kept spacing out in my classes.
"Did you hear my question?" Slowly I returned from my thoughts. "Excuse me?" I told my language arts teacher who was staring at me and standing next to a student I didn't know.
"Could you please show Martin around the school ?" She asked with a big smile. "Is it extra credit ?" I teased. She just chuckled and said good bye to Martin.
Mrs. Martinez was by far my favorite teacher. She felt like the mother I never had, I could talk about anything with her and she would understand. She was really there for me whenever I my parents were too busy to notice me.
"So let's see your classes." I say with a friendly tone. "It's fine. I already know the campus see you later." He quickly turns the corner towards his first class.
I wonder if he thought I was in an awkward phase too.
