Eunae's heart thudded loudly in her chest, she almost believed if she pressed the mic closer to her chest the whole venue would hear her heartbeat. She was absolutely nervous out of her wits.
Eunae wasn't very confident in her singing skills, as it wasn't something she honed regularly. It was more of a hobby, one she had picked up along the way. Song writing was the only thing she was confident at, but lyrics weren't going to get her anywhere if she couldn't sing.
She originally kept her performance for the closing ceremony because it wasn't as important and lavish as the opening ceremony. People would have been content with one last hurrah without needing the quality to be top notch. But the change of plans made it different. People were expecting something grand to open the festival. The one she had poured her everything into to come to life.
She didn't know what she would do if she were the one to ruin it.
She was trying and trying to keep her nerves in check and was still trembling.
Shuhua had spent the most of last hour trying to talk Eunae into relaxing. She couldn't say that it didn't work, she did feel more at ease when Shuhua relentlessly told her that it would be alright each time Eunae thought of the worst case scenario.
There was already a local band playing on stage, the students jamming to the blaring music. Eunae could hear the excitement with which they enjoyed the performance. She was just scared she wouldn't be able to meet their standards.
