Chase 🚔
I glared at the rest of the team, giving each of them a long hard look.
"Who....finished.....the lemon cups!?" I yelled. Rubble scoffed loudly and rolled his eyes.
"Why don't you just ask Katie for s'more?" He replied.
"How do we know it wasn't you?" Zuma challenged me. It couldn't have been me, I was with Marshall from the second we got here till now.
"It wasn't me! You knew that!" I said defensively.
I didn't even get to have any of them and I love lemon cups!!"Cmon dude it's fine. I didn't get any lemon cups today, but we'll have some tomorrow" Marshall assured me, walking closer.
I backed up a bit and frowned "Ok I guess." It probably doesn't look professional of me to lose my mind over something so trivial.
Everyone let out a collective sigh of relief and walked away awkwardly. I too shimmied of to play with a rubber ball sitting lonely in the sand.
THIRD PERSON
It was getting late now. 7pm. They'd finished their beach day and started to head up to the lookout. Zuma slid up to Skye, and she looked up at him warily.
"No hawd feelings about today. Things happen. I just needed some time to cool off yknow?" He said quietly. Though his paw hurt just a tiny bit everyone knows tag sometimes gets aggressive.
Skye smiled weakly and sighed.
"That's good to hear. I'd been thinking about it all day kinda." She admitted.
He grinned and gave her a little bump before running ahead to talk to Rubble.
RUBBLE 🦺
Zuma trotted up behind me and stepped on my paw, causing me to yelp in pain and turn around. He, in return, laughed loudly.
"Not fair!!" I whined, which only made him laugh louder. It's sort of an inside joke now, to step on each other's paws because I accidentally stepped on his once. But Zuma took it like a champ and turned it into a game.
So far I'd been squishing his brown little paw every chance I got, but you let your guard down once....
"That felt gweat!! My dudes awe all sowe because of you. I think I desewved this." He replied, puffing up his chest. I laughed at his little speech oopsies.
I looked up at the setting sun and realized that Ryder will probably soon come give us our dinner. I'm always late for this because I'm a bulldog, and we specialize in stamina and strength, not speed. Thus, Ryder always gave me the tasteless bottoms of the tin.
But not today. I stopped and took in my surroundings. Chase was striding on ahead, probably thinking the same thing I was. Skye was close to Marshall, sucking up to him very clearly, while he tried desperately to get water out of his ears.
Zuma, now ahead of me, was deep in conversation with Rocky. They were all unsuspecting. So I kicked up my hind legs and dashed towards the lookout. Only Chase cared that I was on the run, so he picked up his pace as well.
But this didn't matter, as I was already way ahead."Hey! Rubble!" Chase barked at me angrily. Though it sounded far away. My bulldozer/doghouse came into view and I snatched up my yellow bowl. It still had a bit of gravy in it which I happily licked up. I was closing in on the automatic doors and smiled smugly at Chase.
Ryder POV

Third Person POV
The cool air of the massive colorful lobby engulfed the pups and refreshed them immensely. Chase collapsed onto the floor to catch his breath and Rubble walked to the food dispenser to await his delicious meal.
"Ooh I heard my tummy grumble!! That means I'm really hungry" the pup said excitedly.
"When did you learn to run that fast!!" Chase asked, finally getting up only to flop onto a nearby pillow.
"I didn't, but I guess I just really wanted to eat." Rubble replied.
"Or maybe Chase was just too slow." Came a reply from the giant doors. The other pups had finally reached them.
Rubble wondered why they didn't feel the sense of urgency he usually did.
Chase pouted at Marshall, the one who had attacked him verbally. The shepherd made a move to get up but settled down and thought otherwise.
Soon, all the dogs were sat around the dispenser, occasionally checking the glass elevator to see if Ryder was coming.
A few minutes went by.
Another couple minutes went by.
Chase put his bowl down and tilted his head in confusion.
"Where's Ryder?", he asked, saying what they were all thinking."Yeah, I'm kinda hungry", Rocky added. Rubble's stomach growled in agreement.
The bulldog walked over to the elevator and looked up. "wha-" he gasped softly. It was Ryder, staring down, wide-eyed at him.
"Ryder? What are you doing?" he asked, ears down. The rest of the pups slowly gathered round to see what was up.
"Sir Ryder sir!", belted Chase, standing up straighter. Yet the boy didn't salute him like he normally would. Instead he continued to stare.
Zuma looked around at Rocky, who gave him a confused look in reply. Why didn't he come down to give them dinner?
"Should we go up the elevatow? I don't think we'll get vewy faw down hewe. "the Labrador proposed.
There were some scattered hums of agreement, but then they heard movement from upstairs. Ryder was now on his hands and knees, his unreadable gaze replaced with a hardened expression.
His mouth twisted to a scowl.
Skye yelped and backed away. "Guys I'm not so sure about going up." she said nervously.
"M-me neither." Rocky agreed. The two warily edged closer to the massive doors.
"It's fine we just need t-" Rubble was interrupted by a loud thud from upstairs. Followed by another one, and another one.
That was the last straw for Skye, as she flew through the doors and into her grey and pink jet.
The thuds got louder and more aggressive until Chase cried out "Follow Skye!!!" and they all rushed out, back into the warm night.
Trucks working full speed, they all headed to the only other person they knew to trust.
Katie. Only she would figure this out.
