Heizou knocked on the door to Kazuha's house, he was on a mission, he was hired find dirt on Kazuha and use that information to arrest him and create a solid case on why he should be locked up. He'd been trying for a while, using morally dubious methods such as stalking, but Kazuha's daily life involved no crime, so he quickly dropped that. He instead decided to go with a simpler method, he was already on good terms with Kazuha, so what better way to uncover dirt than under the pretense of a friendly chat.

"Ah, Detective Shikanoin, what brings you here?" Kazuha was fond of Heizou, but was quite wary because he would constantly sense his presence watching him. He was unsure of why the detective had been watching him, he hadn't committed any crimes that he could remember, but stayed wary of the man nonetheless. "No need to be so formal Kazuha, I didn't come here for business, I just wanted to catch up"

"Oh, I was worried I had done something wrong, I'm glad that's not the case. It's not everyday the world renowned Detective Shikanoin Heizou comes to my house after all"

"Oh stop, you're going to make me blush~ Seriously though, feel free to drop the detective title, it's just Heizou to you Kazuha~"

"Ah, you can come in, would you like some tea?" Heizou stepped into the house, Kazuha had quite the number of plants in his house so the air was very fresh, and had a very natural scent. He wondered who would take care of all the plants when his job was finished and Kazuha was behind bars. "Of course, I'd love some tea"

Kazuha gestured for Heizou to sit on the sofa while he went into the kitchen to make the tea. He made a fancy kind of herbal tea that he thought Heizou would like, he had a sort of talent for guessing other people's taste in tea. Once he had finished, he brought the pot of tea, along with two teacups into the living room, sitting beside Heizou as he poured the tea for them. Heizou took a small sip, before taking a bigger sip afterwards because he enjoyed the taste quite a bit, "Oh, this tea is good"

"I'm glad you think so, this tea is one of my favourites" Kazuha smiled gently, even something as small as taste in tea he shared in common with his friend. "So what've you been doing lately Kazuha?"

"Nothing much, I've gotten into a habit of going on walks after sword practice recently though, I've given up on the life of a wanderer, however, it's nice just walking through nature sometimes" Kazuha was unsure why Heizou was asking this question, he had seen Kazuha's daily life many times before, but he figured he would just brush that off, and tell the truth. "Ah, I never have much time off work, I wish I had the time to go on walks, it sounds relaxing hehe"

"Would you like to accompany me on a walk now? I was planning on going regardless, but it would be nice to have some company" He set his teacup down, having finished his tea. Heizou took another sip of tea, before also putting his teacup down. "Of course, how could I ever say no to you~"

Kazuha stood up, "Let's go then, I feel as though it is going to rain soon, and we don't want to be caught in the rain do we?" Heizou also stood up, and the two of them made their way to the door, "I'm personally fine with the rain, I'm used to being wet around you anyway Kazuha~" Heizou winked at Kazuha, who was completely oblivious to Heizou's teasing as usual, "I suppose we can take our time then." Kazuha opened the front door, walking outside in the direction of the woods by his house, Heizou followed after him. "I never had a chance to ask you, but what have you been doing recently Heizou? Aside from observing me of course."

"What?!" Heizou was very taken aback that Kazuha would just casually mention that he knew of Heizou's stalking. He was sure that he had hidden his presence well, but apparently not. "Heizou, did you really think I wouldn't know? I am very perceptive. I must ask though, why?" Heizou couldn't just outright tell him that he was trying to find evidence of Kazuha committing crimes, stalking is bad enough, he didn't want Kazuha to think he was completely insane. "Ah, um, it's embarrassing, but I've been meaning to catch up with you for a while, but you always seem preoccupied. It's quite nice just watching you though, so I always end up staying for too long. Sorry if that came off as creepy or anything."

"It's fine, I enjoy the company actually, I get quite lonely by myself, so next time you come along feel free to interrupt me." Heizou had made up his mind, there was no way this man was a criminal, his instincts were already telling him that was the case, but talking to him again, Heizou could tell Kazuha had nothing to hide, no crime at least. "I'm glad you said that, because I've really missed talking to you Kazuha, being such a good detective has its downsides, I'm so busy all the time." Heizou sighed, in truth he was lonely, he missed the days of being new to detective work, when he had few cases to work with and he could just talk about them over a cup of tea with Kazuha, but now he didn't have even enough time to sleep some days. Heck, this case was the closest thing he had gotten to a break in months, and he was technically still doing work. "Ah, I did notice you looked tired. Do make sure you're taking breaks okay? It's bad for your health to be constantly working."

"I know, I'm not exactly good at taking breaks, even while on breaks I'm always thinking back to cases, looking over documents, I live and breathe detective work. Even now I'm letting myself go on this walk with you because it's technically for work." Kazuha looked towards Heizou, raising an eyebrow, "What do you mean?" Heizou's eyes widened, he just realised what he had said, "Fuck, uh, how do I explain this?" Heizou sighed, he would just have to tell him, "So, you're technically a wanted criminal right now, but we have no solid evidence on you, naturally because you haven't done anything. Anyway, I was put on your case, so I was sent to find info about you, hence the stalking, but I realised that the reason no evidence has come up is because you haven't committed any crimes, so I'm now sort of using this case as an excuse to hang out with you." Kazuha blinked rapidly, that was... alot...

"I wasn't aware there were grounds to arrest me... However, I have nothing to hide, I have never committed a crime, but you already know that, your intuition has already told you." Kazuha smiled, he trusted Heizou enough to know his intuition was always right. "Yes, my intuition told me immediately that you are not the criminal type. Though part of me is disappointed, I'd love to see Kazuha in handcuffs~" Kazuha's face turned red, not even he could be oblivious to what that was implying. "Ah, finally, my teasing works on you, I've never seen you flustered before, but I must say, it is adorable~"

"Heizou stop, you've put a very vivid image in my head" Heizou simply laughed at that, "You're welcome Kazuha" He smirked at Kazuha, which was met by Kazuha turning away from the taller man, "Would you like me to bring my handcuffs with me next time~?"

"...yes"
